Yes, she was cured of her affliction. But I think she walked off screen still a villain. Could be wrong, as I haven't rewatched that one since I got it into my digital library.

I think that just took the pain away. I think she can still phase shift.

I'm still mad we never got a Luis MCU timeline recap heading into Endgame.
When the rat blipped Scott back into the van, and then he had to take all of Hank's stuff from the storage business and was heading to find the Avengers, they should have had him bump into Luis and he then gives Scott a rundown of that last five years.
Giancarlo Esposito is joining the cast of #CaptainAmerica Brave New World in a villainous role as a part of a 22-day reshoot schedule beginning this week in Atlanta: https://t.co/0u3LZT0657 pic.twitter.com/44lzGt9MqZ

TONIGHT on THE INSNEIDER: Find out who will star in Michael B. Jordan's MUHAMMAD ALI series at @AmazonMGMStudio. Plus, I weigh in on ALL of this week's Marvel "news" and offer a theory as to who Giancarlo Esposito MIGHT be playing in CAPTAIN AMERICA 4...https://t.co/TuvxrRVecI pic.twitter.com/LSeriSzMyF

Quote:
It's time to do a little check-in on Marvel since I'm seeing a lot of stuff out there about Disney's cash cow.
For starters, yes, Giancarlo Esposito was spotted on the set of Captain America: Brave New World, and yes, he has joined the cast as the main villain (surprise, surprise).
What's the role? No one knows for sure, and I've seen all types of speculation, so let me add my own - Nathaniel Richards, a version of Kang the Conqueror who under the alias Mister Gryphon becomes a businessman and the CEO of Qeng Enterprises.
If that was, in fact, the case, which I'm not saying it is, then the future Marvel series that Esposito was alluding to being a part of could be the upcoming Vision series starring Paul Bettany, which recently tapped Terry Matalas to replace Jac Schaeffer.
Jonathan Majors appears briefly as Mister Gryphon in the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and he's also referenced indirectly in the Disney+ series Loki.
So that's my guess! 100 percent speculation on my part. Understood?
Next, my friends at THR seem to be downplaying ing the issues facing Captain America: Brave New World, and you know what? That's fine. As a huge Anthony Mackie guy, and a big fan of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I want that movie to be great more than anything. Besides, a little damage control never hurt anyone.
But when THR says that director Julius Onah is gearing up for 22 days of reshoots that will add more action sequences to the movie, and that "despite reports of multiple reshoots on the movie, so far this is the only one," let me tell you, the words "so far" are doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.
THR is correct in saying that "It does not appear to be as extensive as the reshoots that faced Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which lasted six weeks, nor the expensive and extensive reshoots endured by The Marvels."
However, I'm told that this 22-day reshoot is only the first round of reshoots, meaning, more are planned for later this year. So while everyone may have jumped the gun as far as Brave New World reshoots go, from what I've heard, it's going to take a lot more than 22 days to fix everything that's wrong with this movie.
This is just a scheduling window that Marvel saw fit to take advantage of, as Mackie has a bunch of other commitments and can't spend months on end reshooting one film, even if it is, perhaps, the biggest showcase of his esteemed career.
So while I understand why there may be cause for concern, I'm comforted by the fact that Marvel is taking the time to get this right, rather than release a movie that Kevin Feige doesn't think delivers the goods. I know we treat the word "reshoots" like some kind of slur, but to me, they just signal that someone believed in a troubled movie enough to be willing to sink more money into fixing it.
Next on the agenda? No, Mahershala Ali isn't leaving Blade. Sure, he signed on to the Jurassic World franchise, which will benefit from his gravitas, but just because he has joined one mega-franchise doesn't mean he's abandoning the MCU, which he has spent years trying to join.
Believe me, he's pot-committed at this point, and as invested in Blade as ever, whether those rumors about the script being heavily rewritten are true or not. Just know that I'm extremely skeptical that Marvel will release four films next year, as planned. But I'm already on the record with that one.
And I saved the best, i.e. the dumbest, for last.
Where did the rumor come from that Adil and Bilall were in the mix to direct Spider-Man 4? Surely it didn't come from this newsletter, which merely speculated regarding 10 directors who I personally believed would be a good fit for the sequel. Yes, I asked some folks in the industry who might be on such a list, but it's not like Kevin Feige signed off on it.
The sad truth is that there are a bunch of grifters out there who hide behind anonymous handles on Twitter, where they're free to say whatever they want without any repercussions. Every time I tweet, or send a newsletter, my name and reputation are on the line. It doesn't mean that every tweet is gold, or that every scoop will pan out, but at least I have the balls to put my name on it.
Adil and Bilall are not and were never in contention for Spider-Man 4. I figured they would be since Bad Boys: Ride or Die is poised to be their second big hit in a row for Sony, but again, it's Marvel that drives the creative on the Spider-Man franchise.
In fact, since I posted that list, someone reached out expressing surprise that I would include Adil and Bilall, saying that they were ultimately removed from the post-production process of Ms. Marvel - unconfirmed, mind you - as Marvel brass allegedly found them a bit challenging to work with.
But you guys know Marvel - it's their way or the highway. For the past decade, it's been hard to argue with the results. But lately, it's worth wondering if there's a better way…

So does this pretty much confirm Esposito will not be Dr. Doom? His voice would have been perfect for Doom.
What I love about this young Avengers BS is that Florence Pugh is already older than Scarlet was at the time.CoachRTM said:
Young Avengers will definitely be a thing - it's been building for a while.
They need to get on it soon though - they're running the risk of the "original actors" being 25 by the time it comes out….
