Also, fitting that they use the Back to the Future theme, as it was written by Alan Silvestri, who also did the Captain America and Avengers soundtracks.

I've seen, like, individual creative types - a number of screenwriters, actors, etc - moving to Blue Sky, but hardly any actual entertainment reporters, journalists, critics, fan accounts, etc making the same jump/leaving Twitter behind. The latter knows the only real audience (in terms of numbers) is on Twitter. And I suspect a number of those who left will eventually be back.

Researcher and faculty member I know posted about it recently. He said he mostly sees academics and people with political leanings similar to his own.
Doesn't sound very diverse or inclusive. Does sound like an echo chamber where some people don't have to entertain dissenting opinions.

Not to go down too far of a rabbit hole, but most of the people I follow (art, design, film, animation) weren't very active on Twitter anymore but are now active on Bluesky.
And Twitter is a cesspool when it comes to political discussion no matter which side of the aisle you're on, not to mention the algorithm makes it more or less an echo chamber anyway.

Marvel did put out a RoboCop comic in 1990, a few years after that.

Imagine coming to the MCU thread seeing a bunch of new posts and wondering what tidbit about F4 might have been revealed. Getting a discussion about lefties with a new site because their previous site was sold to a guy who clearly isn't a lefty.
Left disappointed.

Actually Bluesky is one of probably a dozen Twitter clones that tried to capitalize on their missteps, they've just gotten the most traction.YouBet said:fig96 said:Truth Social says hi.Cinco Ranch Aggie said:

Apples and oranges.
That site was started because old Twitter banned the POTUS.
Blue sky was started because people on the left got butthurt that competing voices stopped getting censored and banned on new Twitter.

Could be, though it launched like 3 years ago so it's taken a while. All I know is the artists and designers I followed that aren't active on twitter anymore are now active there so I'm happy.
Except, as said above, my feed is exactly the opposite. Filled with far left TDS-filled toxicity.Quote:
For instance, my "For You" feed is consistently filled with far-right-wing conspiracy bull****, yet I don't follow anyone in that space. I don't follow Elon either, but somehow damn near every one of his tweets end up in my feed, which are also 90% anti-left.
That said, I'm not complaining, and I still love the platform for everything else it offers. I'm just saying that I completely understand not wanting to be inundated with the toxic insanity Elon has unleashed on that site. It didn't just balance out. It objectively turned into a pro-right-wing website, where the loudest, most obnoxious, most conspiracy-minded people are rewarded with the highest levels of exposure.
I have that one!!toucan82 said:
