It's funny to read how bad everyone is afraid that Justice League and Suicide Squad are going to be, and then to go back and read the Deadpool thread, and how bad everyone thought it was going to be v. how awesome it turned out.

I think some folks are at least optimistic on Suicide Squad, opinions on JL are still based largely on BvS which...yeah
All of the marketing for Deadpool was amazing though. Plus, it had Ryan Reynolds who is really funny and a perfect fit for the role.
Suicide Squad has Margot Robbie...who couldn't even muster up a New Jersey accent.

Well yeah, because no one had any previous examples to go by for Deadpool, so understandably they were pessimistic.
Whereas with Suicide Squad and JL, we have more than enough proof with MoS and BvS that Zach Snyder will **** up JL and that Suicide Squad is likely going to be mediocre at best.
Two different reasons for the pessimism but both equally valid.

I think you are the only person that doesn't think Margot Robbie's Harley is going to be awesome
Review Embargo lifts Tuesday so we won't have to wait too long before we start seeing what we have on our hands. I'm optimistic right now because each trailer has been better than the last. Will Smith seemed excited during the Comic Con panel, so maybe this one is a return to "Fun Will Smith" that I've missed since Hitch.

Ugh. Suicide Squad reviews just dropped and they're not looking too good. Can summer 2016 just end already?
I rarely trust reviews these days. CW was a 90%+ and BVS was around 30%, neither of which was indicative of the true quality imo.
That said, this is disappointing.

That is a measure of how many people think it is at least 3/5 stars, not comparable direct grades like you're taking an exam.
If you're going to make that comparison, use metacritic (75 vs 44, respectively).
Man, I so badly wanted this to be good and end the summer on a high note. Instead, for me, this is officially now the worst summer I've ever experienced at the movies.

This with the really cool comic-y introductions is neat. If that's how the movie played it would be perfect.

I realize that. But most people don't. I'm willing to bet most casual cinema-goers just take the RT score as an exam grade, which they shouldn't.
