For being a slower paced episode, it seemed to fly by. When he was going to visit Chris, I got a Natural Born Killers vibe like when they went to the shaman's place. Pretty much resulted in the same outcome. Wondering if he is going to cause the apocalypse instead of stopping it.

Would y'all recommend skipping the first season to someone who's never seen it? I've tried getting friends to watch it but they never make it through the first season. But I really think season 2 is some of the best television I've ever seen if you can make it through a slow start. Unfortunately I don't know a lot of people as patient with story telling as myself.
How can a show be such a piece of **** season 1 and be incredible in season 3?
I actually liked season 1 a lot, but its super heavy/depressing (relative to even 2/3)....could also be argued its slower at times. I'd say watch 2-3 episodes and see how you're liking it.
I think you need the back story of the GR, Nora losing her family, etc. to get the full effect of season 2.

I wasn't excited about a full episode of Kevin Sr., but that was an entertaining episode. Interesting that he believes in his son's immortality. I do wish they would go back to last year's theme song.
It was this season's hotel episode IMO. Most fans dont like the non traditional episode, but writers love them so what can ya do.
I actually liked that we got answers to major questions raised in the previous episode. Who are these horse women, why were they looking for a police chief named Kevin, what is Kevin Sr.'s relationship with them? You get a week to hypothesize and then boom, answers.
I really liked that episode. Started slow but the ending 10 minutes were great.

Last 10 minutes were good. The first 50 minutes could have been completely cut and you would not have missed a single thing.Jim01 said:

With 5 episodes left, I do not want to waste a full hour on Kevin Snr, who we have little connection or interest in, especially because of his own mental weakness in falling for the whole faith/religious aspect of the Disappearance.
Those 50 minutes could have ben spent on Kevin Jr and the others

Not a huge fan of this episode. What is wrong with Matt Jamison? If his book is that important to him, why doesn't he make copies or back it up somehow before passing it on?
It has been obvious since S2 that Kevin Sr. had a major role to play. Not sure how it's a wasted episode. It will obviously be integral to the story.
The quicker yall realize you're watching LOST: Origins, the quicker you'll be OK with the single character focus eps.

They'll write the first verse to Everybody by Drive Shaft, fulfilling my prediction.
In the hotel episode last season, didn't Sr tell Jr he was in a hotel in Perth when they talked on the tv? That was the same story he told in this episode.
Overall, I enjoyed the episode. The last 10 minutes were obviously the high point.

Also enjoyed the 3 or 4 different versions of Take On Me throughout. Guess the "device" to go to the other side is a comic book. 
That last scene with her in the room was great. Couldn't take my eyes off the tv.
What was the explosion that guy mentioned at the end? Is that why the airports were shut down in the preview for next week?
We aren't supposed to know what it was yet.

Is it me or was there a guy in one of the previous episodes that was talking about people being crazy asking him to kill a baby even if it meant curing cancer? I can't seem to watch an episode without interruptions so I'm having a hard time keeping up with everything
It was the guy that lit himself on fire. I think he said he couldn't kill a baby to cure cancer. She said she could.

I'm grasping for straws but maybe it isn't the answer to the question that counts. Maybe it is the reaction when they are rejected? Or is the whole thing a scam? Glad that Kevin left Nora even though it's sad.
Yeah that could be. Y'all think she's gonna burn herself up? It's the end of the series so I think she's dead.
