Not horrible, not great. Will probably watch again next week and see where it goes.
quote:No way would the media ever paint the Democrats in a bad light.
okay here's my theory. Its not a right wing group, military, rich white guy etc. What if its a group of democrats? They try and pin this on an ultra conservative right wing group in an effort to garner more support for the new democrats?

It's on ABC so I expect everyone to be so emotionally distraught from the attack that they can't function. It's hard to think when like six people you're sleeping with blow up at the same time.
quote:I mean..I dont think he imagined the capitol getting blown up
I also thought that it was odd that the designated survivor wouldn't have packed a suit. You would think that would be mandatory, as they would be sworn in pretty quickly, and would be a major photo op. Was also surprised that there were no photographers at the swearing in, only the guy with a blackberry. They would've had an assigned photog on scene regardless.
quote:well, the whole point of the designated survivor is to ensure the transition of power. you would think that he would pack a suit just in case.quote:I mean..I dont think he imagined the capitol getting blown up

The west wing ruined these kind of shows for me. Nothing comes close to it.
quote:good point about citizens vs. police. It reminded me of this guy who targeted minorities after 9/11.
I still like the show so far. Sure, the frowning neighbor followed immediately by the interaction with the cops was a little overboard, but profiling of Muslims is something that definitely happens after terrorist attacks, so not entirely unexpected. It may have been more likely for citizens or a militia group (instead of the state police) to tear through the Muslim community in Dearborn, but that was obviously written to create conflict between the prez and Michigan.
All in all, I'm more surprised that there isn't more chaos coming from the states. If there was an actual attack that whiped out the federal government, I feel like we'd have 50 countries working loosely together with neighboring states to figure **** out. The military would definitly be running the show in Washington.
But whatever, it's TV and Keifer Southerland. I'll be watching episode 3.
