I find myself coming back to the score played during the moon landing sequence. Just absolutely fantastic.

I also purchased this one from the Score. Walking into work with this on my headphones gets me pumped for some reason.

Watched this again tonight for homework, for the first time since the theater, and it's so much better than I remember it being. I really liked it the first go-around, it's just that expectations were so high that there was no way it was going to live up to the hype initially.

But now, three years removed? It's so damn good. Just incredible filmmaking throughout. Armstrong as a super-reserved lead is still inherently the tiniest of issues (you just never quite know what he wants or is thinking), but the filmmaking around him is so awe-inspiring on a technical level that it hardly matters at all. And as mentioned above, the score, especially, really stuck with me as well, more than it did the first time. It's just fantastic.

Anyway, I know this movie still isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I just had to say how much more I loved it on second viewing, and it absolutely deserves an appreciation comeback.

Yes, Hurwitz is brilliant.

I can't even remember if I enjoyed this movie at this point. The beginning with his daughter just destroyed me. I can't bring myself to watch it again. Same issue with Arrival, I just can't deal with bad things happening to kids, girls in particular since I have a daughter.

That landing sequence is so awesome. In big part due to the score.

The daughter thing gutted me. Especially at the crater.
