Whoever at syfy decided to cancel this show should be fired. With better exposure, this show could have done for syfy what walking dead did for AMC.

I'm not really sure what exactly happened at the end there. Can anyone explain it?

Think of the ring as a speed limit, go to fast and it will slow and stop any and all objects abruptly. Don't want to go into much more detail than that.

She blew up the supply ship she and the other two went to to make repairs (?).

This show has really peaked these past four or five episodes.

Correct. That was the ship where she planted the bomb and killed her friend. It was a science/supply ship, part of UN fleet. She wasn't on it; she detonated bomb remotely from the main UN ship.

I had forgotten how the Roci entered the ring until Miller made his "if you enter a room too fast it will eat you" comment. That was awesome the way it played out.

Non book readers: the whole ring/speed limit thing will be explained. The slingshot racer went in fast and died. The Roci was slower and did not die. Don't want to go into any more detail and give anything away.

I need to re-read the early books in the series. I like the details they're bringing into the show that I remember (It reaches out, it reaches out, it reaches out. 113 times a second it reaches out....). I'm sure there are many I forgot.

Agreed. It went from a solid adaptation of great source material in the first two seasons to some of the best stuff on TV right now.

Great moments:

"You went through Holden's auto-doc logs? That's a huge breech of trust Amos... what'd it say?"

Steven Strait did a great job portraying James Holden losing his mind. Really well done.

The Investigator was awesome. Doors and corners are where they get you.

Also, while I loved the book Abaddon's Gate, the story line is definitely being improved in a lot of ways, especially the way they've sped it up. Ashford's character is much more believable in the show also for some reason to me. I do hate that there is no Pa, but understand the reasoning.

Mostly, I'm excited that no matter where the season ends, we'll get more in the future. With Amazon taking over, I feel they can afford to slow things down the next season or 2, actually spending time on material from Cibola Burn (originally I thought SyFy would skip that story line altogether, but I'm not so certain now), maybe add in some stuff about Bobbie's time on Mars... lot's of potential with a dedicated "network".

Great, the first interaction between humans on the alien station is violent.

The Drummer storyline has me much more interested than I'd have expected. I guess that's what a David Strathairn brings to a show.

This show has become the only one I have to watch the same night (still from DVR).

Listening to The Churn podcast, and just learned (relearned?) that the writer of Children of Men and Iron Man is one of the creator/developer/writers of the show.

Felt very 2001 throughout the episode: Miller calling Holden an ape and Holdens trip once closing the circuit.

Very much so. Really like where this show is going.

What a ****ty way to end the show if it weren't being continued. That said, awesome way to end the season.

I haven't posted here as much as I'd like because I'm often a couple of days behind on watching, but this season has been great. I thought they handled a big leap forward in time really well this season.

I like how they try to accurately portray how these events would look like in real life. For example the effects of a sudden, massive deceleration. On other shows that would have been a shaking, everyone grabbing hold of their consoles and some electrical explosions/smoke in the background. I like how they try to capture the utter devastation.

Yeah, they spent a lot of time making those scenes really disorienting also which I liked. Last night's episode was one of my favorites so far.

The horror of zero G was so well done (the whole episode was zero G). That you would die from what would be self healing internal blessing because your blood won't drain and just pools, added with that woman's tears just pooping in her eyes without turning into tears was small but just crazy.
