Even though I knew it was coming, Mac falcon punching Dee into the air was still amazing. An all time moment right there.

The last two episodes have been some of their best work in years.

Geez I haven't laughed that hard in awhile. That episode was absolutely perfect. Maybe one of my top 5 sunny of all time!

Great episode. Last two have been strong to make up for what I thought was a bottom 5 of all time with the girls on the plane.

Frank in Drivers Ed is up there with his D.E.N.N.I.S. System or Thundergun episode. Hilarious.

Mac and Charlie going back and beating the crap out of those kids instead of the Dad was hilarious

Just watched last weeks ep. It definitely was probably the best this season, but I just get the feeling that either I am growing away from the show's humor, or the show just will never be the same as the first few years.

It just feels like they try to force humor in a lot of places by just having a character be super over reactionary and emotive. I don't remember them being that way as much in the first several seasons. Maybe I need to go back and watch.

They just don't try as hard because of their schedules and other projects. You can tell with how many episodes are limited to one main setting if the ensemble is together, or they'll feature episodes with the gang split up due to schedules.

It also appears (at least to me) that a scene in the past that they may have re shot 3 or 4 times to get exactly right, they'll move on quicker as long as it mostly produces what they need. Been like this the last few seasons.

Still doesn't mean episodes can't be good but it definitely limits the overall quality.

Holy crap! This Jimmy Buffet episode where the gang solves the bathroom crisis has to be one of my favorites of all time.

This season is fantastic so far!

Agreed!

It was classic Sunny. So simple. They never even left the bar.

Could not imagine this show without Dennis. Him being the "moderator" was perfect. When Frank started talking about the 3/5 compromise I about lost it. The ending was so good with the "F you Dee!" It was basically a flawless episode.

Always Sunny is probably the only show I'll make time to watch. When I was in Afghanistan in 2013-2014 I was with two other IASIP fans and we watched all seasons up to that point at least twice through. But as much as I enjoy the show and am enjoying this season, I'd rather them stop and go out ahead than push out a couple of craptacular seasons before they hang it up.

As long as they're cranking out quality though, I'll keep watching.

*When we got back from over seas, we had an IASIP watch party to binge watch the newest season we missed over there. Complete with spaghetti in a bag, grilled Charlie's, and some tequila in a sun screen bottle. And lots and lots of beer.

Hell yeah. Man, I was in Afghanistan and Qatar for my deployments downrange (mostly doing the Deid) and survived on Always Sunny and Skyrim. Got back and formed a game of CharDee MacDennis, complete with rum ham, grilled Charlie's, riot punch, milk steak, and fight milk... I don't remember a lot of it, but only because I browned out.

Tonight was at least a better spin on a clip show. The Seinfeld bit was great, especially with Mac and Dennis both playing Jerry

Browned out. Love it.

I used to use this one on my Soldiers after carefully explaining instructions to them, and of course they would **** it up. Many conversations went more or less like this.

Great clip show. The Seinfeld bit and getting stuck in each others "memories" were terrific, and borderline genius.

I actually had to rewind the Seinfeld bit a few times, because Mac actually had a surprisingly terrific Jerry impersonation.

I'm laugh cry:

Just watched and I think I share the same sentiment with others that Sunny has lost its creative fastball a bit but the clip show was pretty genius even noting this subliminally twice in the episode.

It's one of my top 3 favorite sitcoms of all time and the original old clips brought me back to just how great this thing has been for so long.

I still think the funniest moment in the last few seasons was Dennis' impersonation of Claudette from the The Shield. I thought for sure they were about to flashback to that when they brought up Dee's old impersonations.

That is an interesting choice for funniest moment

How so? I absolutely love The Shield and when Dennis busted out the CCH Pounder impersonation it was so money and I about died of laughter.

You are right, that was so unexpected and perfect, and then followed up with Dee doing another racist impression (call back to first season of the show)

Not to mention he nailed Mac's dad, too. Whole scene is awesome.

Pretty solid for the "new era" of sunny tonight. Yet another example of them getting creative regarding work schedules, etc.

Great episode! I love how Sunny likes to pay tribute to old ass movies like Home Alone, Ski School, The Shining, etc.

Hilarious how all of his traps backfired on him too

My only beef was that there was a disturbing lack of Joe Pesci

Harry & Marv being the 2 guys trying to get into the bar would have made it perfect.

Man, I really hated this episode. And wish there wasn't a sequel next week. I did enjoy all the nods to Hime Alone but that was about it.

Well if it makes you feel better, next week's episode will probably follow the rest of the gang during the same time span. They started doing the overlapping time frame episodes last season.

Agree, after the Home Alone montage I found myself fast forwarding the show which is the first time I have done so in all of the seasons.

Absolutely love this show!

With everyone's busy schedule doing other shows, I don't know how much longer they will keep going. I'm waiting for the big "jump the shark" moment - that will be acknowledged within the show - and they wrap up the series.

It will be a sad time when this show stops.
