Emotion is kind of the point of interpretive dance like that. Mac and the dancer girl certainly exuded emotion in their dance.
Mac gave us hints as to what it was earlier in the show when he said he had a vision or something that explained what he has always felt going on inside of him were a thunderstorm was raging inside of him and God or an angel (I can't remember) came down as a hot chick and danced with him.
So we can assume that is what this dance was. And it was Mac and God representing his inner struggle growing up as a gay man, wrestling with his religious beliefs, his father's rejection, his fear, ect. The end has God or an angel telling him it's ok.
I'm not gay, but it doesn't take that much empathy to see how emotionally ravaging growing up as a gay person in a religious upbringing could be especially when put forth like that.
