My issues:
A female SEAL captain, really?
Bret Gellman as as a Russian operative? He's just about as unlikely an actor as I can think of for that role.

Isnt he the guy from the other guys ?

Eh, whole thing seemed like just a setup movie for Rainbow Six. Honestly, why bother? Rainbow Six is the bigger draw, by far, so why bother making a Without Remorse that bears almost zero resemblance to the book? It's not like Clark's personal backstory is all that critical to the Rainbow Six franchise anyway.

The guy who played Ritter is awesome. Loved Turn.

Even if I hadn't read the book it would still be a bad movie. I tried to disconnect my brain and just enjoy the action sequences and the plot.

Having read the book I'd give it a 20 on rotten tomatoes. If I hadn't read the book I would make it a 35 to 40.

Did not enjoy the movie at all. The chuck was horrible with the movie like a superhero flick.

Why even name this movie after the book? It's just insulting. Obviously the entire point of this was to take a Tom Clancy property and make it about black people plus a chick leading a SEAL team, which is utterly offensive and downright laughable to anyone who has actually operated with the SEALs.

Without Remorse is about killing pimps and doing some shady **** in Vietnam. Period. **** this movie and **** Amazon.

Patricia or Tish was his wife. Pam was the prostitute. No Dr. Rosen, No Sandra O'toole, No Henry Tucker, No Italian Mafia. They replaced the aborted op in Vietnam with the attempted "aborted" op in Russia. He pisses on his clothes and carries a wine bottle up to the Russian embassy or something.

It's like they didn't read the book before writing the screenplay and took advantage of the fact Tom passed away in 2013.

Not angry or triggered about it, but the book was much more entertaining than the movie.

Let's just say they don't follow in the footsteps of the Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games or Clear & Present Danger.

I just finished this movie. Am I correct that two people in this movie willingly gave up their lives for the noble goal of trying to get USA and Russia to fight a war together? The first one was part of the team that attacked John Kelly's house. He said "I am ready" before letting the other person shoot him dead. The second one was the guy with the suicide vest. They never went into their motivations for doing that.

You're correct. The guy in the suicide vest was the guy who shot the guy who shot John Kelly's wife and unborn child. I actually went back and watched that one part again because I was confused.

The movie had nothing to do with the book.

Amazon is creating a modern Ryanverse... so prepare to have all the stories and characters they have rights to updated to fit modern times and themes.

Imagine watching The Other Guys, then the next night watching Without Remorse. My wife was like "wait a minute, isn't that..." and I go "yep!"

So this movie is on par with the Jack Ryan Amazon series? Trying to set expectations. Those were decent as someone who has never read a Tom Clancy novel. It sounds like this movie is awful.

This movie was far from great... but those calling it ****ing awful are being a bit dramatic. Actions scenes were good and MBJ is solid. Some of the supporting work was less than stellar... and I do agree with all the comments regarding the Navy SEAL squad leader.... that casting choice didn't fit. Musical score was really good.

Worth a couple hours with some popcorn. Not going to win any awards... but far from the worst movie most people on this board will watch this year.
