Movies are so f/cking BACK.
I'm not at all celebrating the "downfall" of the superhero genre. They'll return in a big, big way next year, for the better, and I, for one, cannot wait.
But between THIS, Dune, Oppenheimer, Top Gun: Maverick, etc - and Furiosa the coming May, Twisters in July, and Gladiator 2 in November - if feels like a balance is being restored in the world of blockbusters, with either more of an adult or throw-back flare, and it's so damn exciting to see.
This, specifically, feels like a long lost '90s epic, in the best possible way, that we're somehow seeing for the first time. I've never been a big western guy, but am suddenly champing at the bit for both chapters this summer.
