From what I remember of the cartoon growing up, and definitely from the movies, is that the only reason Transformers transform is to disguise themselves on Earth. So if they're not on Earth, why in the hell would they turn into cars on Cybertron? Why is transforming even a thing there? Also, all the character designs look to be mostly based on their Earth iterations, which, in turn, were based on the Earth vehicles/objects they transformed into. So, seeing as they haven't even been to Earth yet in this story, that aspect doesn't make much sense either.
Look, I get it, it's a dumb kids movie, I shouldn't be thinking too hard about it, etc. It just stood out too me, that's all. Kind of like how the world of the Cars movies makes absolutely no sense either when you really break it down.
Mangold does it again. I can't wait to see this.TCTTS said:

I had literally less than zero interest in seeing this when I first heard about it, but that trailer actually looks pretty fun. I legit chuckled at the finger transforming line. I may end up checking this out.TCTTS said:

Tom Cruise doesn't do much without his boy McQ these days, and now the Mission: Impossible duo is preparing to reunite with Fallout star Henry Cavill on a WWII movie titled Broadsword, for which Marion Cotillard is being eyed to play the female lead. The film reportedly follows a Marine captain whose platoon crashes in France, where he finds himself the sole survivor and behind enemy lines. Against all odds, he sets out to complete his mission alone. This sounds awesome - sign me up! World of Reel adds that it'll likely go in between Cruise's untitled WB film with Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Joseph Kosinski's Top Gun 3.

In a recent interview, Nichols was hinting at this "mysterious" sci-fi movie being up next for him. The film had been originally announced in 2021, with Paramount backing it up. I have my suspicions as to what this film might be, but firstly, here is Nichols describing the project:Quote:
I'd love for it [the sci-fi film] to be my next film. It says everything I want to say about humanity and the universe. It's a big film. It's got a big scope to it and a big heart to it. Believe it or not, it's a film with aliens in it. But it takes place in Arkansas, and it feels like a movie made by the guy who made Mud, and it just happens to have aliens in it.
