A new trailer was released today. Playing with my six month old so too busy to link it, but it looks great.
Ok I'm by no means a Trekkie....I mean I respect the show for what it was and enjoyed some of the movies that have came out.....
But damn, ending that trailer with Will and Picard the way they did had me just a tad misty eyed....

Loved the first episode. Stewart is greatness and it's awesome to see Picard in a show produced with all of today's tech.

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I did feel really lost though as I haven't watched any of the shows. Really feels like you need a solid backstory to understand what is going on.

I appreciate the list of shows, but I'm not going to be able to go back and watch all of those. My wife is not in on Star Trek so I'm going to watch Picard when I get that rare 1 hour to myself.
I've picked up a lot so far just by reading, but I still have a big hole regarding the main girl character. They kind of explain how she is an "artificial" but somehow has the neuro-pathways from Data? I think I got that right. But then don't understand who is hunting her and then why is her sister/twin on the cube? That's the part I'm really struggling with.

Thanks. Preview for ep 2 gave some idea. Just curious if it was laying on the sjw angle stronger or lighter. It looks a bit like its going to be Picard & Co. vs some bad portrayal of the Federation. Just finished the series. Starts slow but gets better as it goes along IMO. Some of it is cheesy, which I guess is playing homage.
Other than Patrick Stewart, the doctor lady and messed up crew member lady are standouts for their acting. Stewart held his own at 79 which is very impressive. Definitely used a body double though, especially when he runs or falls.

I'm seven episodes in. I like it. It's a definite departure from Star Trek of old though, with its serialized plot.
Finished it tonight, thought it was good, maybe not in the "great" category.
Really amazing visuals, decent plot, nice call backs, but nothing groundbreaking.
Also not sure how I feel about how they ended Picard's season, will have to see what they do with it next year.

Just finished season 1. Really enjoyed it. I'm still more of a fan of The Expanse type sci fi, but this was impressive.

Season two isn't perfect, but I think it's a clear improvement over the first so far.

Anyone still watching this? I'm over half way through season 2 ( not sure how far along, honestly just care to look it up) and about midway through the episode and think I've had enough.
