The studio has the worst luck scheduling this movie.
1. Spark a firestorm about killing political enemies.
2. Pull the movie off the schedule and quietly reschedule a new release date 6 months later after everything blows over
3. Release the movie on the day that the entire nation decides to self quarantine and avoid public gatherings

We went and saw it today.
The violence itself was a bit much for me, but I'm squeamish always. The first 15 minutes is ridiculously intense and bloody and then it settles down.
Movie does take pot shots at both sides of the aisle pretty evenhandedly and in what I would call "good spirited jokes." I'm on the right side of the aisle and had a lot of laughs at my own expense.
Betty Gilpin really nailed this role and had some amazing "face acting.". Just a quirky character and my wife and I really enjoyed her.
I would have loved for her last line to Athena to have been, "by the way, I voted for Hillary you dumb *****."

Jason Blum just went on Ben Shapiro's podcast to discuss the movie, highly recommend listening.
After listening to it, I think he the talk about hidden agendas here is nonsensical. His aim was to parody the idiocy on both sides of the aisle, is that evident in the film for those that have seen it?

Saw it this weekend and yes, it is a bit like South Park in that it hits both sides pretty well. Go into it with an open mind and it's an ok flick. If there wasn't a quarantine, I probably would have waited until it hit RedboxChamp Bailey said:

Saw this this weekend! Definitely a watchable and good movie. Very violent at times but almost comical in the violence and death. The main actress did great and carries the whole movie and she was pretty badass. Short film 1.5hr long which was plenty.
Now I'm not political at all. I never watch cable news. So nothing on that front which was pretty constant throughout the movie moved my needle. But if anything it makes the left look worse than the right. But I could be wrong and certain jabs might have gone over my head.

So I watched this last night...the people that got their panties in a wad over this missed a fun movie that was nothing but a 2 hour take down of liberal hypocrisy.

i think there's plenty of fair shots at the right. elephant hunter, conspiracy theorist, etc.
as i said 10 months ago... it was even handed, which is rare today.
Red pilled patriots aren't conspiracy theorists. Hth.
Finally watched this last night on HBO. Really enjoyed it and agree it's fairly even handed.
Both sides trying so hard to be the victim when it comes to this sort of thing.
