I always thought a sequel to Close Encounters could be good, not necessarily with the same actors except as cameos, but the premise with a government coverup would be interesting today.

This would actually be pretty cool.
I also wouldn't mind a version where Roy returns home, and has to reckon with the decision of having left his family behind for 40+ years. It'd be even cooler if Roy had hardly aged, but present-day Dreyfuss could be good too.
The family drama against all the alien/government stuff could be really great.
Now I'm wondering how the heck this movie hasn't already been made...
They wouldn't need to do it with Dreyfuss in his present day appearance if they get the guys from Marvel to do their magic on de-aging someone.TCTTS said:Quote:

They did that in a commercial last yearbonfarr said:
Henry Thomas is a bit old for that script now but they could make a different movie where ET meets his kids.

Titanic
I've said before on this forum that a sequel about zombies from the titanic wreckage attacking those that left them behind in New York would make billions
They were all set to go in 2001, full script....everything. Then 9/11 hit. They shelved it because the plot involved a fight on a large plane (that crashed), and of course, there was a terrorist element to the sequel.Orlando Ayala Cant Read said:Probably gota be one of the biggest mysteries as to how this never got a sequel. It made so much money, it was so well made, the dialogue was money, and the characters could definitely have more story told.CapCityAg89 said:
