Thirteen years ago, we were lost.

All of us.

We were having to sit through superhero movies like Spider-Man 3 and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
We had lost a part of ourselves.

Then came 2008 and a little film called Iron Man. Twelve years and 23 films later, we have a chance to play it all back.

You know your movies, you know your moments.

Pick your favorites, from 32 groups of four. One pick per group. No mistakes. No do-overs.

If you participated in the Best Marvel Movie Tournament thread discussion, you've got a group named after you in this contest. That doesn't mean you should know what to expect.

Be careful.

The top 64 vote getters get reseeded into four regions of 16 starting Thursday.

I was going to complain about how your post didn't mention the Nolan trilogy greatness or Spider-Man 1 and 2, but getting my own bracket is a good consolation prize.

It was in the context that Spidey 3 and Silver Surfer were the main 2 superhero movies of 2007. Then Iron Man came in 2008.

Sappy Muck still votes for Scott Lang reuniting with his daughter after getting back from the Quantum Realm. Paul Rudd is mega-underrated for emotional acting.

This just ups my nerd ante some more, but I'm rather looking forward to midnight when I cap it and see what the 64 is and what moment is #65. Will be fun to see what % of the vote was necessary to make the top 64 and then seed from there.

At some point it just became a "it is or isn't" decision for what made it and what didn't. That got me down from 196 to 116 and I went back through Wikipedia reading synopses to add 12 more back to the list that seemed like they belonged. I've since thought of 2-3 that probably were overlooked, but when I think back over how much time has passed since 2008 (feels like at least 12 years) it's not the end of the world.

Friend from Work is down to 87% but still running away with the #1 overall seed. Only 3 others are still above 65%.

As much as I loved the Thor scene in Wakanda...I voted for this, for the soundtrack alone.

Wow... these are hard...

For some of them, I don't know if I should go with the one that gave me the most feels, made me cheer the loudest, or the one that had me laughing the hardest.

Thor Ragnarok has to be my favorite MCU movie, and I like it more and more with every rewatch.

Also, though Into the Spiderverse isn't technically MCU, that has to be up there as one of my favorite Marvel movies.
