So if Muck had made the name of the scene name "Avengers ... Assemble" instead of Portals, would it have beaten "I am Iron Man"? I think so. I thought "Avengers ... Assemble" would be the walk away winner in this thing.
Agreed

I cannot believe it is out, at this point. That and Thor God of Thunder are the two best moments in the MCU.

I have quit my job so I can do the whole tournament over with pre-approved entry titles to make everything fair.

Replacing

"Portals"

with

"That part of the movie where Cap is about to fight Thanos some more and then there is a slight buzz in his ear and he puts his hand to his ear and then he hears "Cap, you hear me? Cap, it's sam. Can you hear me? On your left." and then a portal opens up and through that portal walk Okoye, captain of the royal guard of W'Kanda, T'Challa, King of Wakanda and current Black Panther, and Shuri, the king's sister and Chief of Science. Black Panther then nods at Captain America, who nods back. A second portal opens and Falcon flies through it. Back on the ground, the Dora Milaje, the various tribes of Wakanda, and M'Baku with his Jabari tribe. T'Challa calls out "Yibambe!" and the assembled Wakandas shout back "Yibambe!" The call and answer repeat twice more. More portals open up, producing Valyrie riding her flying horse, Korg, Miek, and the armies of Asgard. Next come those who fell in combat on Titan - Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy - Drax the Destroyer, Mantis, and StarLord. We then realize this call for help has gone intergalactic as Kraglin shows up, leading the Ravagers. Hope Van Dyne emerges as the Wasp, and Pepper Potts in her own Iron Man suit. Ant-Man becomes Giant-Man emerging from the wreckage of Avengers HQ and reveals that he has saved The Hulk, War Machine, and Rocket Raccoon. Dr. Strange asks if that's everyone, and Wong wittly asks if he wants more. We pan then to Thor calling his axe and Iron Man landing as Captain America calls back Mjolnir and declares "Avengers! Assemble!"

I think "And I am Iron Man" is the runaway winner. There's lots of great action, lots of funny and unexpected lines, lots of touching moments, lots of iconic shots.

But that moment was the culmination of 47+ hours of film that cost $4.3 Billion to shoot over the course of 11 years.

That's much better, that would definitely win.

So far StarLord's intro is winning with 99.3% of the vote in the semifinals.

Lol... this MuckRaker guy seems pretty sensitive about others showing surprise from a vote...

Settle down and don't take things so personally. We are allowed to be surprised and voice our opinions.

My take is that Wangus was tongue-in-cheek with his rant, and Muck was tongue-in-cheek with his retort.

I could be wrong, though.

A long long time ago (March)
I can still remember when
My tourneys used to make you smile

And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those brackets dance
And the Entertainment board would be happy for a while

But April put me through the paces
When I forgot about Trading Places
More bad news came 1 day later,
When Dune lost to Terminator

I can't recall if Spilner cried,
When Vader beat down Marty McFly,
But something really made me frown
The day DallasTeleAg told me 'settle down'

So bye, bye, this here Muckraker guy
Makes a racket with his brackets, but he's not a bad guy
Why did those Ags vote StarLord so high?
Portals lost, and now I must cry.
Portals lost, and now I must cry.

Did you forget about the Lion King?
And since I'm already asking,
I question every other choice you made.

Yes Tommy Boy has Farley and Spade,
but the Sandlot's the best movie ever made
And when Shannon Elizabeth's part comes on I play it reeaaal slowwwww!

You're too old to appreciate American Pie,
I'd like to stab you in your Golden Eye, and
Mel Gibson wants your number to scream you down.

Well, I know I screwed up with Braveheart,
But at least we agreed on Jurassic Park.
And I was bored and hurtin',
so I made a bracket for Jack Burton.

Every week, someone has to hate on Muck
But to be honest. I don't give a ****
But I knew I could not play nice,
The day that TeleAg gave me his sage advice

I started singin'

And the three posters I admire best
UrbanAg, Spilner, and TCTTS
They think I'm nuts or at least depressed.
I'm working on another bracket now, who would have guessed?

This one was a fun thread/bracket and reminds me of much I miss anticipating these films releasing and how much I am really not enthused for the next round or wherever it goes next.

Tied again. I think both clips need to be set to Stan Bush's "The Touch" to determine a true winner.

Easy for me.

RDJ/Tony Stark is the MCU. It started with him, it ends with him.

RDJ's Iron Man is the reason why a guy (that would be me) that doesn't give a crap about comic books or super heroes got hooked on the MCU after taking my then six year old son and his friend to the Avengers in 2012.

Han/Indy level greatness. Only thing I can compare it to.

I had to vote hammer but man...it's tough.

Both moments are the defining moments of both of their character arcs, for Steve showing that he truly is the embodiment of Captain America and for Tony showing that he's completely evolved from the person he was into Iron Man.

Just great storytelling and character development over half a dozen plus films.

LOTR moments. If nobody does this, I'm taking it after I finish my directors brackets.
