An opinion you have that you absolutely believe, but you know it's not a good one based on the fact that almost everyone disagrees with you.

dont limit this to just entertainment. Give me your food takes too. Or anything. I love these topics.


Mine is that I just cannot get on the Chris Stapleton train. I listen to predominately country. And not Nashville. I like Sturgill, Childers, Isbell, all Texas country.

Stapleton just doesn't do it for me at all no matter how much I try.

I also love bourbon but can't stand the taste of old fashioneds.

I know this is the entertainment board and the op is an entertainment related question, but I hate ****ing golf with every fiber of my being. I know it's stupid; I know it's childish, but my god is that sport just a douchbag fest. Having Aggie football cancelled and having the masters offered up as an alternative makes my hate of 2020 grow.

One entertainment related opinion that I have is that prestige television is sometimes bull***** Don't give me wrong, I absolutely love stuff like the Sopranos , The Wire, and Breaking Bad, but most TV series can be cut in half without losing any story momentum. Watching prestige television really does make you appreciate straight Up movies more that are able to convey character, theme, and plot and have all that stuff be emotionally resonant without having to spend a quarter of your life watching it.

This one on point though. I'm at the point now where if I see a 1 hour TV show with multiple seasons Im almost certainly out unless it's a consensus all timer worth watching. Have basically exhausted all prestige TV anyway at this point.

I dont watch hardly any shows as they come out. I always wait until they are almost done and highly regarded by everyone. the only downside is you miss being able to discuss with people while the show is new.

the (much larger) upside is you dont waste time watching a bad show or a show that sucks after 2 seasons.

The Wire and Tombstone are my biggest ones

I got halfway through the first season of The Wire and was bored out of my mind. Granted, it was a while back, so maybe my tastes have changed, but there's so many good shows readily available that I haven't bothered going back to something I wasn't interested in the first time I watched it.

Tombstone was...fine. Not a bad movie, but I doubt if I thought about it that it would even sniff the top 10 westerns I've ever seen.

    On this note, I've tried to watch Mad Men twice now and have found it boring both times. I still think someday I'm going to give it another shot, because I find the subject and time period interesting, love the cast (particularly Jon Hamm), and because... everybody says to.
