That's particularly odd since Glenlivet doesn't have smoke but Highland Park does. I get having a hard time telling scotches apart, but that's like saying you can't tell a Riesling from a Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm not a wine person, but even I can do that.

What's a good BBQ place I can try (in DFW)? I'm of the same opinion as him, but I'm open to being wrong.

never eaten any in DFW. but Texas Monthly seems to be very high on Cattleack.

the "chain is just as good as craft places" take is the most absurd take on the internet once you eat good bbq

I don't say that as blatantly as him... I just have yet to have BBQ at one place that has blown my socks off compared to others yet. I'm not an aficionado though.

Agreed. On the other hand, there are so many places in Central Texas (and even SE Texas) that make very good BBQ that it's hard to justify going to a place like Rudy's. For example, my favorite place in Austin to eat BBQ is Terry Blacks. It isn't the best BBQ in Austin, but you can usually park there, it's downtown so you are close to a bunch of other nightlife things, and ive never waited more than 30 minutes in line, even on game days or parents weekends from the school.

Same thing with Tacos and places like taco cabana.
