They aren't BAD. I teared up the first time I saw goose die. Usually a character dies and I meh about it. So I'd rank the non-flight scenes as "decent". And the flight scenes are awesome. In my book, decent + awesome = pretty damn good movie.
Yeah, it's Val Kilmer who was in Willow; Cruise was in Legend, released in '85 and made by Ridley Scott (and that's all I remember about it).h1ag said:He's in Willow? I thought that was Val Kilmer and Cruise was in the similar Legend. Haven't seen either since I was a kid though, so I could be wrong.queso1 said:

Legend is the best Tom Cruise movie. Literally all downhill from there.

Edge of Tomorrow question:
How did Emily Blunt know she was "out" when he had a blood transfusion? Wouldn't she just think she was in, die, and then that be it for her?
I believe she could "feel it" that she lost it.
Also who cares ...I could watch her do upward dog all day long.

Most iconic: Top Gun
(where it really started for him...this movie is Tom Cruise)
Best: The Last Samurai
(unique story, not a typical 'Tom Cruise' role...to me it really shows his acting chops)
Underrated: Days of Thunder
(He and Robert Duvall have a fun chemistry in this one)
Worst: Lions for Lambs
Let's be honest, though - Tim Curry was the best part of that movie. The Debt said:Ocean Of Funk said:

You can tell no one has seen this film because it either rates as best or worst film of his career. There is no middle ground.

Overrated: Top Gun
When planes aren't in the air, that is one of the most cringy movies ever made. I'm almost embarrassed to watch some of the scenes in that movie.
