Gripe on F16 got me thinking. Despite being a nut job, dude is an American icon, and has one hell of a catalog.

In your opinion, what is the best, worst, and most underrated Tom Cruise movie.

Best: Rain Man
Worst: Magnolia
Most Underrated: American Made

Oblivion was my second choice for underrated. Man when you first responded I opened up a list of ranked Tom Cruise movies and Magnolia was pretty high up. It's been 20 years since I've seen it so maybe it's worth another go.

And also, damn. There are some Cruise movies I've never even heard of or have blocked out of memory. Losing It, Legends, and Lions for Lambs. It also reminded me how awful Cocktail was.

Worst: Rock of Ages, Interview with the Vampire, Oblivion
Most Underrated: All the Right Moves, Valkyrie, War of the Worlds (sorry BES)

Even in his worst films, his performances are interesting and they're not completely unwatchable.

I don't know that I would ever put Cruise in my top tier list of actors, but I rarely don't enjoy a Tom Cruise movie. He is incredible at picking parts that suit him. As an actor, he seems to know what he is and doesn't usually stray too far from that. His personal life is a different matter...

Best: Minority Report (Very tough to choose)
Worst: The Mummy (I actually haven't seen this, but it looks pretty bad)
Underrated: Edge of Tomorrow

I really enjoyed the last 2-3 Mission Impossible movies.

Edge of Tomorrow and Minority Report for science fiction efforts.

Risky Business, All the Right Movies, and Rain Man for early in his career movies.

Top Gun is a fun one but it seems dated these days. Perhaps the sequel will rekindle the original TG.

I hated The Mummy.

War of the Worlds had potential and had some fantastic stuff, but overall that movie sucked. I blame Spielberg more for that.

How did Emily Blunt know she was "out" when he had a blood transfusion? Wouldn't she just think she was in, die, and then that be it for her?

I believe she could "feel it" that she lost it.

Also who cares ...I could watch her do upward dog all day long.

Honestly tough to choose. I consider all the films below to be great movies. I know people think the guy is insane, but I don't understand not watching these movies.

He's in Willow? I thought that was Val Kilmer and Cruise was in the similar Legend. Haven't seen either since I was a kid though, so I could be wrong.

When planes aren't in the air, that is one of the most cringy movies ever made. I'm almost embarrassed to watch some of the scenes in that movie.
