Prolly going to be very silly/borderline stupid, but I am in all day everyday.

Looks like Kong has some sort of super ax that can absorb and redirect Godzillas nuclear fire based on the last scene in the trailer.

According to Google Nerd-verse, Kong is 104 feet tall in Skull Island and Godzilla is 393 feet tall in King of Monsters. So I guess Kong had a 300-foot growth spurt since 2016?

Because on a proportion chart, that's like a 6 foot tall man fighting someone who is 1 foot, 7 inches tall.

Dissenting position but I'm all in on this.Awesome cast and the action and monsters look great.

I didn't love King of the Monsters but Kong: Skull Island was a blast, and if they can capture any of that this will be most likely ridiculous but a lot of fun.

Down with all of that except the choice of music.

Going way back to when I was probably around 5 years old, my dad and I had a running argument over who won in the original King Kong versus Godzilla movie. After all that destruction, you have these two fall into the ocean - and you never see Godzilla again, but what you do see is Kong swimming away. Might as well have been a yellow streak on his back, damn coward. Godzilla whipped his ass then, and should whip his ass again in this new movie.

I don't give a crap how dark it may look, I'm all in for this movie. I loved the Godzilla movie in 2014, I enjoyed the new Kong movie, and I absolutely loved Godzilla King of the Monsters.

That's not the official trailer.

First of all, Kong happening upon a 95-foot long battle axe is right up there with Lois Lane retrieving the Kryptonite spear.

Now let's place wagers on the ending, because you know damn well they're not going to have a decisive winner. We will not see Godzilla incinerate Kong or Kong snap Godzilla's neck

Here are the only endings this thing can have:

1) The little girl makes them stop fighting.

2) They both fall into some kind of massive force of nature thing - Volcano, underwater volcano, rupture at the bottom of the ocean.

3) They kill each other but save the planet in the process somehow.

4) All that footage is 1st and 2nd act,and there's some super monster lurking that they team up to defeat.

I have to wonder what gym Godzilla's been working out at and who his trainer is. His quick twitch reaction time is abysmal. Kong telegraphs that punch from 500 feet away and Godzilla doesn't even see it coming.

Kong: Skull Island took place in the early 70's. So, it's 40+ years later.....

And in kong they mention him being the equivalent of a teen so the growth spurt is logical too

I think GZ and Kong end up fighting a mutual enemy, ie Batman v Superman minus the Martha reference (unless they go with Mothra instead here). My bet is whatever is making GZ attack people is the same tech that they used in KOM to draw GZ to KG in Boston. There has to be something with that KG head that was found.

Either way, its Kaiju fighting each other. Let them fight and hand me the popcorn!

It won't be MechaGozilla.. it will be human created robots. This is where Pacific Rim debuts in the monsterverse

One can hope..

Remember when Matthew Broderick headlined a Godzilla movie with a soundtrack that featured Puff Daddy, Jamiroquai, Green Day, and Ben Folds?

The 90s were weird.

That was my favorite movie growing up, now I'm afraid to watch it based on the reputation it has.

It's reputation is well-earned. That's not a Godzilla movie, it's a giant iguana movie. "Godzilla" never roars as one would expect, never unleashes nuclear fire breath on anything, and generally looks like Jay Leno with scales. Then there's that terrible Aliens ripoff inside Madison Square Garden.

That movie is one of the most legitimate big-time disappointments that I've ever seen.
