This is a fun one to bring-up, especially with the hardcore Who fans. They seem to detest everything about the movie and the soundtrack as well.

Talladega Nights has a surprising soundtrack.

ALL movies that Cheap Trick contributed music to -

Yes, including Heavy Metal

Uh, I'm a hardcore Who fan

They definitely don't hate the songs of Tommy - because they were playing it live and speaking well of it, including fairly recently during these times when Pete and Roger are pretty sick of one another.

Second, the movie is good, including Roger's lead, where he played a teenager 10 years later than anyone should have

And if any Who fan hates Tommy (which is both very famous AND underrated) then

THEY ARE NOT A LEGITIMATE FAN

(exact same principle of an AC/DC "fan" speaking bad of Brian: then are not a legit fan)

I like how I revived the thread after 4 days but apparently in such a dull way that an argument about The Who broke out instead of a response to my comments. Pay attention to me, dammit.

Talledega Nights actually isn't that bad, a lot better than I remember. Not that it's a Great Work of Art, but knowing a lot more about screeenwriting now than when it came out there's more to appreciate.

Unlike Anchorman 2. I watched that today and aside from one hilarious joke it's terrible.

A couple of Michael Pare flicks worth consideration:

Streets of Fire
Eddie and the Cruisers

Solid choice, because Eddie and the Cruisers SUCKED as a movie, sequel was ten times better.
