PS, if someone can point us to a credible source, please do so, I'll read further at some point. i've never seen material that wasn't government funded, by leftist politicians, for the purpose of pushing agenda, and later called into question, debunked, or even some proven fraudulent.

Further, even if the agenda has any truth behind it, the US is not capable of moving the needle. We are only capable of destroying ourselves before the global warming disaster hits.

"In 2016, world total primary energy consumption was about 572.8 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu). U.S. primary consumption was about 97.5 quadrillion Btu, equal to 17% of world total primary energy consumption."

Further, our energy use is much cleaner already than the vast bulk of competing energy use, so bankrupting ourselves with moronic policy, based on fake science, is only going to affect 1/8 or less of the problem.

the joke is, that is what we have done, and we have done it in obeyance to an ACTUAL TACTIC imposed upon us by our enemies.

we already have nearly reached the end of our fiat currency debt rope and destruction of our real economy, in significant part by pushing this bull**** agenda.

So there is really no point whatsoever in discussing 'what to do' either, even if we had a scientific understanding of 'what the problem is' or 'what we could or should do.'

PS - the movie was pretty dumb, but i didnt really take it as some massive propaganda piece anyway.

I'm sorry, but if you're just completely dismissing every bit of scientific research into the question as politically motivated (which no other government in the developed world, conservative or liberal believes), then what exactly would you accept? Because the scientific consensus around anthropogenic climate change and the dangers it presents is about as rock solid as anything else you'll find in science.
Not even remotely, and that is even true DESPITE the fact that the entire scientific community sucks at the political teat to push this crap, and has been since the corruption of educational institutions really picked up in the 90's.

None of this is an actual scientific argument. It's all politics bull*****

No data to the contrary of his preconceptions would ever be allowed to pass this "test".

Glad you came and posted on the thread about it. Everyone was eagerly awaiting you to come say that you have no desire to see the movie, and now we can happily go about our lives knowing that it's no longer a mystery. Such a great addition to the conversation.
Well you're welcome. Here's one more addition since you asked.

Cool. None of this has anything to do with whether anthropogenic climate change is happening or not.

Exactly. One of the biggest reasons I don't buy in to ANY of the left's talking points.

If he donated all his money to the poor tomorrow and started walking from city to city in humble attire to talk about climate change, it would make more sense.

This is what the left wants. "Do what I say; don't try to live like I live."

The reason you can tell climate change is 100% political is that you do not see liberals jumping all over China and India regarding their pollution. In fact, they offer them waivers. Yet they have no problem cracking down on American producers. And why does all of their proposed "solutions" always include liberal pie in sky BS? Why did the green new deal have clauses for BS like universal healthcare and minimum wage increases? What does that have to do with climate? Do you guys really give a rats ass about the climate? Or using the climate as the newest emergency to push your socialist agenda?

And they have mega million dollar homes on the beach. If they really thought the ocean was going to rise and destroy all the coasts, then why would they do that?

How are these modern government funded studies any different than the studies funded by oil companies that said leaded gasoline was A-Okay? What happens to climatologists if they deduce "it's no big deal?" Would they get a budget increase to study more or a decrease? We all know the answer. So they are paid to provide what their funding asks for. Instead, show me a study that is not paid for by energy, oil, auto, OR government. That has no biases one way or another. Then I'll talk.

I can.

Putting violent and murderous criminals to death several times per year after first making them go to sleep = bad

Vacuuming an innocent young life out of the womb thousands of times per day = good

Your name is played out.

Switch the name to "Climate Change" and you will be relevant again. When "winter storm Uri" hit in February, did anybody mention you? No, they did not.

They sure did bring up climate change however.

If certain people don't experience Hawaii weather 365 days per year, they will invoke the term "climate change".

You better contact staff to get the switch made.

Both terms were used together going back to the 70s, when the first serious research on our climatic impact began. Globally we are getting warmer, though the changes will influence different areas differently depending on the season and things like ocean currents and jet stream.

And if a scientist funded by the proper organization or a politician on a certain side of the aisle gets a chill in freaking February north of Mexico, it also might be due to global warming.

I always love this narrative that "science is unbiased".

Science requires funding. Funding is given by donors who are interested in a particular outcome or intellectuals who care about the same.

I guarantee you it would be hard to get funding if you walked into a University and said you wanted to do a 2-year study with the Hypothesis that the natural climate change of the earth is impossible for man to prevent.

Funny because that is actually what I believe.

We were in an ice age during the Black Death, people didn't know it because they were a little more concerned with not dying from what many believed was God's vengeance on the sinful.

It's pretty clear you don't understand how research and review works. You want money and fame and accolades? Demonstrate with accurate models and a strong hypothesis how humans can't change the climate. Good luck, because that position is absurd on the face of it.
