Is this a full season dump or weekly?

Looks like we'll see at least a little bit from Laconia this season.

I recall reading something from the creators that said they wanted to continue after this season in some way but that there would be a pause in production.

Last year they did first three episode dump, then weekly. I would assume it would be the same?

Hoping they come back as well. This is my least favorite book, but the next two are some of the best of the series.

Just saw that the final season is doing the GOT thing, 6 episodes, but the episodes should be longer? They are at least saying the finale is 65 minutes.

I've been listening/reading the novellas after ignoring them for years and some are pretty good. Saw that there's one last novella that I am assuming will be an epilogue coming out in March 2022.

Creators have stated they have future plans. Hopefully they figure out how to continue it.

There's definitely a future to the story. Assuming they they don't try to cover books 7-9 anyway. This break should probably be expected.

Frankly watching the grey Rosie crew kick ass in the Laconian's shadow is too good a story to just end the series prior. Some of their most badass moments comes from books 7-8 and 9 is the end of the story. Peaches and Bobbie's moments both come to mind.

just started rewatching season 5. damn I forgot how much happened in this season based on the first episode alone. and I forgot how much I missed Amos.

I just finished all 5 seasons based upon people on here with the positive reviews.

Wow, what a great show. Season 4 was the weakest (not horrible but definitely a drop off from every other season) but Season 5 more than made up for it.

Can't wait for season 6.

Great timing! Just finished the last book today.

THE EXPANSE IS BACK BABY!

Woooooooh what a first episode back. It's war in the solar system and I. Am. Here. For. It!

Man I missed this show - such great character development and boy does it feel rewarding to be at this point in the inner/outer struggles and the corresponding points in these characters journeys. This episode really felt like a, "here you go y'all, all that character and plot development you went through on this journey with us, well here's what you've been waiting for" from the show runners.

Holden being more driven then ever, and letting his instincts make the good decisions.
Amos holding onto Holden as his guide to being a good person and bringing Peaches along.
Naomi literally fighting her past.
Avasarala being the war-time leader she was always meant to be.
Drummy starting possibly the greatest comeback possible (as a beltaloada who's nearly alone in her goals for the belt to take on its current supreme leader).

Can't wait for the rest of the season!

Just finished episode 1. Inaros is at the top of the game, everyone else is playing catch up. Looking forward to see how they close this season out with just 5 more episodes. Going to be a hell of a ride to the end though.

Great episode, but I have a really tough time imagining how they will be able to do justice to the vast arc of story still remaining. Wish there were either gonna be more seasons after this, or more episodes in this one.

Episode was fine but honest incredibly slow considering how little time they have. Have a hard time seeing how this is anything bit massively rushed. Although to be fair the source material didn't do them any favors.

I am a huge fan of the series and books, but honestly IMO S6E1 was thin.

I think back to the many many great episodes, especially across the past 3 years.

Maybe I'm disappointed after waiting so long with unrealistically high expectations. However, for me there was no useful or inspiring or terrifying or hopeful plot advances.

Hoping for the best still …

Episode 2 is up. Still not sure what they're going for between Marco, Philip, and this new belter woman. I know I should care about the colonist kids, but still not sure why I should.

Boarding the Azure Dragon was probably the best sequence they've had in the show. Probably better than when Klaus boarded Marco's ship. This definitely felt like a much more dense episode material wise than the first episode. With four episodes left, I get the sense that things are about to start happening faster.

I thought episode 1 was great. but, now i'm seeing how short the season is and it makes it less so. oh well, hope they can pull this thing off. love the show.

That is Kathleen Robertson, or Claire from Beverly Hills 90210. I am probably showing my age with that remark. Her eyes have always bothered me. I don't know if they are too far spaced or what, but she is easily recognizable due to them.

On another note, I am a bit concerned as they are bringing in the plot from the novella Strange Dogs, which is integral for understanding events that occur in book 8. However, there is a natural end to the Marco/Filip arc at the end of book 6, and the last three books occur several years after book 6 ends. I don't see how they can wrap all of the current arc, and deal with the last three books in 4 episodes. .

From what I have read, the writers have said they don't intend to have the series finish before the novels. So, I wouldn't expect the last 3 books to be done this season. I just don't see how the introduction of the colonist story on Laconia ties to this season at the moment.

Great episode. I'm thinking they are going to leave the whole Laconia plot line on the sidelines, or at least hint at it like they have been with the colonists, and only deal with the Free Navy/Marco plot line for the final 4 episodes. leave Laconia and and Duarte as some unresolved conflict/cliffhanger for potential a future series or Amazon movie(s).
