Bummed it's over. Great series, excellent final season.

Amos dropping into battle was brutally epic. Having the remaining free navy get erased at the gate instead of an anticipated Roci battle was a let down. But whatever.

What a way to end it. I'm 100% convinced we'll get a sequel series/movie(s) to deal with Laconia. That said, I couldn't have been more pleased with the way they wrapped everything up. These characters are so fantastic and each of them had their moments this season.

My only complaint is that I wish we had a few more episodes.

I'm going to miss Chrissy's potty mouth

You know, that was actually way better than I anticipated. The books really didn't leave them an option on the Laconia stuff, so I never expected a payoff there with this being the end. That being said, I still hate the free navy ending but it'd faithful to the books so I don't hold that against the show.

Great sci Fi series.

Great job on wrapping it up. It is a good place to end the series as this ended the Marco arc in the books with a substantial time jump between book 6&7.

I was disappointed by the end of Marco's arc until you realize that Filip leaving and changing his name is the real victory for Naomi and the Rosi crew, he was able to see clearly the narcissist/egomaniac that his father is and escape the cult of personality. Which is what Naomi wanted for him anyway. In that light the free navy/Marco going Dutchman is a formality.

I really hope we see the Laconia arc, it's a great end to the best sci-fi story in the last decade.

Leviathan falls spoiler:
given that Alex is dead in the TV series I think it could be neat if we follow Fillip instead of Alex's son for the hive mind travel to the colony plot line. I do think that Naomi at least knowing that he's alive might be one loose end that wasn't tied up for the audience. Though it was closed for Naomi since she thought he was dead.

They absolutely had the option to just not include any of it if the show was never going to make it that far.

Here are the names of the assault team members from the Roci. There are a few I cannot figure out.

Marcos slomo death/disintegration was amazing.

I really hate that this is over. My favorite book series where they took some liberties and still nailed it.

Great series, despite me not liking a lot of the actors and some characters. Solid start to finish. The only thing really weird to me is they completely dropped the life after death planet. Dropped that story line like a rock. Seems like a pretty big deal to leave hanging.

And of course the evil spirits of the void never got explained.

To the greatest sci-fi show in history!

Boy, what a ride and such a perfect finale. The writers and director knew exactly all the beats to pull out that we needed in the last time we'll see these characters.

Great final to the series!

So ready for the next team to finish off 7-9!

Yes, it's been the best scifi book series for the last decade. Though they were faithful enough to the books that you may be able start with book 7, the largest change is that Alex is still alive and flying the Roci. All the other major details are pretty much the same.

Same characters though a major time jump, about 30-40 years I believe. The Rosi crew is all grey at that point, which I think would be an awesome portrayal on TV. A family of seniors flying around the systems, and kicking ass.

Think AARP is still a thing in this universe? Maybe a spin-off can be a bunch of aging Belters and Inners form a coalition to fight for LuAnn early dinner rights at future Luby's restaurants.

I liked the finale I think it ended well. I wish they would have split it up into two episodes so more of the final battle could have been explored. Seemed a bit rushed.

But overall I liked the series. I was really worried they were going to GOT it but in my opinion they didn't. I think they had to set up the Laconia story the way they did in order to make that scene where Duarte tells Marco he's on his own and to consider the Laconia gate closed more impactful.

Clearly a Laconia story to be told. Perhaps Amazon just wanted to gage interest before committing money to more seasons or a movie.

Absolutely. Best sci-fi in a long time. Unless you just recently binged all seasons there's enough missing from show and details you don't remember to make reading the books worthwhile.

The description in Prime describes Season 6 episode 6 as the "season finale" not the "series finale". Reason for hope here?

Do you put the old suits/makeup on the main cast or do they recast with older actors. Some like Amos, Bobbie, and James I thought were perfectly cast for their roles.

I think you can just age them up with makeup. It's the future, it seemed like most of them live to like 120 years in the books, and the Crew all work out all the time. Tom Cruise is almost 60 years old and looks like he's 40 with the secrets of Scientology, you got to think that secret gets released within the next couple of hundred years.

Although if they do new actors my vote for Amos is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

It's possible that they're planning a shorter time jump for the TV show, maybe five years. Especially since the autodoc told Peaches she's only got five years to live.

I think it's doable with makeup. Just the other day on our HIMYM rewatch (caveat: this does not include the final season) we saw the one where Barney tries to pick up girls at the bar while telling them he's 82.

All makeup, and it was reasonably convincing.

I doubt it. maybe shorten it slightly, but i bet, if they do bring the show/cast back for a final 3 book adaptation, they will probably just explain it away as she is on borrowed time and well beyond her life expectancy.. If i recall, that may have been the case in the books as well.

Very well done show. Very true to the book, but different in reasonably entertaining ways. Just really sad it's gone, and I hope they finish out the series in some way.

If you haven't read the books, they're excellent. I suppose you could start from Book 7 and not be insanely lost after watching the show.

I thought it was a lot of fun but if this is the way they ever the series, the whole Laconia thread was just a waste of precious screen time

I don't think it was. Maybe I'm biased because I know what's coming in the books. To me it really helped sell that scene where Marco gets cut off. That look on his face when he realizes "I'm screwed".
