Terrific (being a middler)

Maria Sofia is worst character in Curb history
More Leon, less Maria
I hate nitpicking Curb, because it's almost always an entertaining watch regardless, but I straight up don't understand the Maria Sofia plot line/Larry's dilemma. He has an ungodly amount of money. A backyard pool fine is nothing to him. It's pocket change. So why is he willing to sabotage his show not to pay it? Especially since the show getting picked up would ultimately make him even more ungodly amounts of money? Everything else this season has been hilarious, even the pitch meetings, until Maria Sofia's name comes up.
I don't get it at all.
This take shows me that you would be a good middler.

Forgot about him threatening to sue. Still, the guy was breaking into/trespassing on Larry's property. What kind of case would he have?

Isn't some variation of this like 95% of the plot lines of this show? Larry's absurd "principle stand" lands him in some ridiculous situation a person with $400M should not be in? It's literally the entire conceit of the show.Quote:

Just to reiterate what RichardSplet was alluding to above, Joe the Klansman was played by an Aggie, Marc Menchaca. Same dude from Ozark and The Outsider.
Did you miss the scene altogether? That exactly what he was doing.double aught said:
I would've enjoyed it a little more if Leon had been eating watermelon with the guy from the grocery store.

That was a different dude, a previous friend of Leon's.Anagrammatic Nudist said:Did you miss the scene altogether? That exactly what he was doing.double aught said:
