This guy was the s*** back in the late 90's / early 00's, and then he kind of fell off the face of the Earth for about 10 years there. And at one point he looked like absolute crap.

But man I love a good comeback story. Especially this guy, who was completely down and out.

His upcoming slate:

Killers of the Flower Moon - co-starring with DiCaprio, Deniro, and directed by Scorsese
The Whale - starring role in Darron Arronofsky comedy/drama
Behind The Curtain of Night - indie sci-fi; don't know much about this one
Brothers - starring role and co-starring Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin, Glenn Close; unknown plot
Batgirl - playing the villain

I mean come on. That is rivaling the Mconnaisance.

I'm happy for this guy. Seems like a genuine dude. I remember watching an old interview with him at his ranch in the midst of his decline and he seemed pretty defeated and done with the whole Hollywood thing.

I don't understand his downfall. He was great in everything I've seen him in (I haven't seen any of the Mummy movies). He was hilarious in Bedazzled.

Ah... well, you go out there and you give a 110%, and you wanna play good, and... you know... you hope you play good... I think we played pretty good tonight!

Part of it is that he was a victim of a sexual assault, it seems.

Loved him in the Mummy movies. Yes, they were campy and did not take themselves seriously, but that was the point - they were trying to be throwbacks to the adventure movies of the 40s. Don't blame him and his acting, he did what the director wanted in those films.

He is also currently in the Doom Patrol and doing a great job as Cliff,

An insider out in that area (TCTTS?) might have more insight, but I would guess he got crossways with someone and was ostracized in the industry - through his own actions, or a personality conflict, I am not sure.

He had a really bad turn of luck between a messy and expensive divorce/custody battle, being sexually assaulted and then essentially blacklisted by hollywood elites and some extensive injuries from his stunt work on the Mummy movies. Happy he is getting his chance to shine again, seems like a great dude who just had a bad run of luck.

I think it's from Bedazzled when he wishes to be a NBA star, or it sounds like it at least. That version of himself in the movie was dumb as a brick.

It's from Bedazzled when he was an NBA player with a pea-sized brain.

The first Mummy movie is great.

Seriously, it's a damn-near perfect action/adventure movie that's a throwback to old Spielberg-type fun that's a good time for the whole family. Don't bother with the sequels, but do yourself a favor and watch the first one.

The Rock's CGI performance as the scorpion king was a watershed moment.

Ah.. gotcha. I thought the Abe Lincoln part was hilarious too. Where there was a noise and he turned around scared as hell.

A watershed performance in that it pushed the limits of what the graphics of a PS2 could do....

Same. Mummy Returns and Bedazzled are very fun movies. His name was connected with Pauly Shore early on, unfortunately, but he overcame that.

The Mummy and Mummy Returns are both absolutely great

And love Brendan Fraser. Echo what others say in that he seems like a really awesome, genuine guy... He's really funny in Doom Patrol, although its just his voice. So glad to see him coming back

This has always been my impression of what happened. Divorce and then black list from the sexual harassment accusation. Regardless really glad for the guy.

The last role of consequence I remember before his departure was Journey to the Center of the Earth and my family loves that movie.
