I basically consider the Howard thing already wrapped up, as Mike explained what was going to happen. Sure, that could go awry, but my gut tells me this episode is all about Jimmy/Kim's relationship being dissolved in gut-wrenching fashion. But on an emotional level and not really a plot level, if that makes sense.

That said, the Lalo slip-up does seem like something that could come back to bite them, and maybe that's what scares Kim to actually leave (again, of her own volition, IMO, not vacuumed).

We have the story of how the lab gets finished in BB. They gave us a Gale Boetticher backstory and him getting the equipment for it. I guess there is some concrete pouring to finish, but I don't really think any of that requires addressing now that Lalo's snooping is no longer a problem

I can see the finishing of the lab happening in one of those epic BB type musical sequences where they match it up to the perfect song and we watch it in fast forward.

The pouring of the concrete over the graves then the final construction clean up then the moving in of all the equipment.

That would be very mundane. I want to see tuco getting out of jail and his goons telling him about some guy named Heisenberg that wants to meet

Some concrete pouring to finish? Lol. It's a hole in the ground at this point. I think the Germans were said to have been about 60% complete when they were sent home. There is a LOT left to do before Gale starts coordinating the equipment setup. Now the idea of the BB/BCS sped up musical sequences showing how the lab actually gets finished isn't a bad guess.

Some great posts here that I think could turn out to be spot on.

I definitely think Cliff is going to play a role in tonight's episode. I also think Kim is going to come unraveled or slip-up when talking to Cliff and that's the straw that breaks the camel's back and convinces her that she needs to get out. Her finding and holding the vacuum guy's business card is just too on the nose for it not come back around (do Gould & Gilligan do much misdirection?). I think tonight's episode ends with Kim walking into the vacuum store.

What does that have to do with Gus finishing the underground lab?

Besides IIRC that's not really how it went down. Didn't Skinny Pete tell Jesse about Tuco and they went and sought him out?

The official BCS Twitter account tweeted a pic of Cliff Main earlier today so he is guaranteed to play a part in tonight's episode.

Kim leaving of her own volition was #1 among my theories, but definitely not something I'm confident in. I can easily see her realizing it's all gone too far, she's damaged, she always had the side of her that was fighting for the underdog so she'll go represent the indigent to restore her soul, also realizing her and Jimmy together just has two much negative chemistry along with the positive chemistry - get out, get away, recoup. Maybe Jimmy TELLS her to leave, against her wishes, for her own good?

I don't even know why I bother to guess, the writing is good and whatever ends up occurring will be interesting and believable within the character arc.

Forgot all about Tuco - that would be great to tie him back in as Lalo is now dead.

Didn't the actor that plays Tuco come and out and say he couldn't do the character anymore since it was too strenuous to get in that head space?

If you pay attention to the episode titles tonight is the last of the blank & blank format for this season so that lends support to the TCTTS theory of tonight being the last in the current timeline.

I viewed as maybe last in this timeline but possibly also last of Jimmy AND Kim

I remembered seeing this after last week's episode, a little more fuel for all you speculators on here

Saul creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have talked a lot about the difficulty of making everything match up between one show and the other. What has been the worst case on this show of you guys wondering why you chose to get into such a mess?

I can tell you there is something, but I cannot tell you what it is yet. There is some stuff in the back half of this season, past this episode, [where] we planted a flag. Some people felt we shouldn't have, and we had to struggle to figure out how to pay it off. And it did cause some consternation during this final season.

Who cares about the lab? That has nothing to do with emotional arcs of Jimmy and Kim. We see the completed lab in BB, and that's all we need. What would actually seeing the process of it being finished lend to the story in any meaningful way?

I can't tell if the vacuum guy's business card was set up earlier this season to pay off later in Breaking Bad, or if it was set up this season to pay off for Kim. I guess we'll likely find out tonight. Another thing to consider, though, is that the actor who played the vacuum guy, Robert Foster, died in 2019, long before they ever shot this season.

Yes, the Lalo slipup seems like something that they wouldn't leave unanswered. What about the lab? That was a huge part of the storyline. Are they just going to ignore how it gets finished? Howard's disappearance is going to have to be explained somehow. Cliff Main has to be at least somewhat suspicious of Jimmy at this point. And the biggest plot point of all. WHAT HAPPENS TO KIM? I guess that can all be wrapped up tonight but it just seems like a lot to me.
I could see Cliff getting suspicious of Jimmy, but to no avail because he has no evidence. Maybe in the post BB world he'll be say "I told you something was up with him"

I think it's more likely Kim starts fresh than dies. Who would try to kill her? Not Gus or anyone in his posse. I dont think any of the Salamancas would either since they would have their eyes more so on Gus and/or Jimmy. Maybe Kim is the vacuum guy's first client?

Gus could I guess, but she never actually saw him at that house (she could look up who owns it I guess) so I don't know why he would consider her a threat. Well, she did have a gun pointed at his front door but I think he knows why and it wouldn't be repeated.

If she dies - and I hate being this morbid - I'd have to think it was by her own hand.

I will bet anyone here $100 that Kim is in Nebraska, and that her and Gene/Jimmy have some sort of reunion in Cinnabon timeline.

I am NOT taking that bet. Kim runs into Jimmy in Nebraska, FOR SURE. Book it. Just a question of whether she's a mother to Jimmy's kid.

Was thinking about where I am with the series.

Up until last week, the main question in my head was WHY Jimmy became a criminal and slipped into the Saul Goodman persona. Did he choose to do so out of greed? Or was he forced to do so, with protecting Kim somehow coming into that decision? I was leaning towards the latter with Lalo being at the center of it. Now with Lalo dead, it's all kind of up in the air.

We will see what happens tonight.

That was a huge part of the series and in this universe they don't leave much of anything unexplained. I'm not saying it needs to be a prime focus of these last few episodes but I'd be a little surprised if it doesn't come up again before BCS ends.
