Well Kim left him and I'm guessing we are on exact date where Jesse and Walter kidnap him.

Thought I heard a Doppler shift on that bell as they carried Hector off. I almost think Don Eladio believes him but prefers the money Fring is bringing in.

It seemed like Gus was going to get lucky there for a minute or so.

Everyone gets to go back to their cushy lives but Mike.

I knew Nacho's father would come back into play when Mike held onto his fake ID card. I wrongly figured Mike was going to have to get Nacho's father to safety, but it was still a great scene. He kind of passed moral judgement on all the characters in the BB universe. That's not justice, that's revenge. I hadn't really appreciated the parallel relationship between Mike/his son and Mike/Nacho until now.

Another excellent scene with Jimmy and Kim and the breakup. We may or may not see them together again. What was the whirring noise after she stormed out? Never mind, closed captioning says she was taping up boxes.

Anyone else expect Heisenberg to come walking in at the end of the episode? I guess that's next week.

Personally loved the time jump. I thought we might actually get the BB crossover tonight when he mentioned the "masturbator" when he was on the phone with the office. He thought that's what Badger's trouble was when he first met with him.

A time jump! I was not ready for that. I need to know where Kim Wexler is. We are officially now with sleazy Saul Goodman.

So Kim broke him and he has become the lawyer from breaking bad.

I mean...Yeah cool to see the full on Saul Goodman in the BB universe but overall kinda disappointed.

Seemed like a lazy way to wrap up Kim and make the transformation.

Not sure what to think.

According to the sticker on Sauls license plate, it is only 2005. When does Walt come around, 2008? Seems they should had time jumped further.

While a surprise and a very well done scene, I think it's weak as hell if that's how Kim just got written out of the show. I'm hoping there is more to her story and that wasn't her final episode.

ETA: What is everyone's thoughts on the wine scene with Gus? Did he ever open that bottle he said he bought in an episode of BB that I don't recall or is he saving for a special occasion for an event to take place in one of the last four episodes? I'm guessing the completion of the lab would be cause for celebration.

It looked like to me that he was wearing the same clothes that he wears when Jesse and Walt kidnap him. Maybe I'm wrong?

But if Badger was the public "indecency" referred to, then that is probably wrong.

Checked out some clips online. Not the same clothes.

With the big time jump, it gives them a lot more time for the BB universe and the Gene Tackovic universe.

And with the onslaught of commercials it really felt like just 6 scenes instead of 1 episode.

Not sure if it was a mistake or not but the license plate definitely said Nov 2005.

People were complaining "that's how they get rid of lalo?" And I expect to hear similar things about Kim's send off.

I have to say, and this surprised me, I was feeling a strong dislike of Kim during the episode - I was surprised how easily she appeared to be navigating the next day, I think as surprised what she did to Howard's ex, I was just growing tired of her abilit to machinate. But she did ultimately come to a realization we saw as viewers - she and Jimmy together led to bad things. She did a mature thing but I definitely see how Jimmy would think it was too reactionary to a very recent event, and he may have been right.

Don't know how I feel about the time jump and complete Saul transformation. Don't sense a sadness, I guess he went "well **** life I'll just have as much fun appeasing my base sensibilities as possible"?

Not sure what the point of Gus's scene at the bar was - the fact he wanted some human connection but realized he had to deny himself since he is on a mission? What realization did he come to prior to dismissing himself from the bar?

Four episodes left is a lot and I wonder how much time spent in BB timeline vs Nebraska timeline. I guess I'd go 1 BB/3 Gene but it's hard to imagine what 3 whole Gene timeline episodes would consist of. But why spend much time in Bb timeline?

Tough to stick this prequel landing.

Yeah maybe what happens in 2005 pushes him further to BB Saul.

There was one critical thing that's melissing though. We know where the statue of liberty came from, but what transpired to get it into Saul's hands?

I was thinking the same thing, so I went back and re-watched the scene where Walt goes over there for dinner and was just waiting for Gus to casually mention that bottle of wine by name because of course the writers would do that, but alas. Tried again with the scene when Jesse goes over there, but they're drinking white in both instances.

Side note: I forgot that when Walt goes over to Gus's house and they're making that stew, Gus mentions how he's excited to get to make it because "the kids don't eat it." Did Gus have a family this whole time and I never knew it?

Solid episode. Nothing too crazy, but felt like a pretty good wrap up of our main storyline.

People like to say prequels can never have the same tension as their originals, but on the other hand, it can give scenes a lot more meaning/depth. For example, I loved watching Hector helplessly dinging his bell as the cousins carried him away, knowing that in the end he would get his revenge on Gus.

And after so many years of speculation, it feels weird to finally know for sure what happened to Kim. No execution, no vacuum guy, she just decided to leave. I think at some point this season we could see the writing on the wall, but for at least 5 seasons, I think most people would've bet on her being dead.

I always expected a BB-style montage that would close the gap between this timeline and Breaking Bad, but for some reason it never occurred to me that it would just smash cut straight to 2008. Definitely an unexpected way to do it, but the way they did it kind of makes sense since they did seem to wrap just about everything up.

For a minute it felt like we'd been robbed of some story and we weren't ready for the time jump, but thinking about it, the story was pretty much done. We don't need to see her actually leave, or see the Sandpiper settlement come in, to know what happened.

My two small notes would be -- 1) I don't think we needed quite that much screentime of Gus flirting with the sommelier, and 2) I wish we'd gotten one last scene of Mike with his granddaughter. That's the one storyline did feel a little unresolved to me, though I couldn't tell you what else we needed to see.

I'm sure 99% of us were expecting the final shot of the episode would be Walt entering the office, right? They knew exactly what they were doing with that, the *******s. You know those writers just wanted to tease us knowing everyone was anticipating it.

He is. Max was his lover and I got the impression he was starting to get some feelings for the wine guy which is why he abruptly left.

I really liked this episode. I guess I'm in the minority. With the way Kim left I'm even more convinced now that she's in Nebraska. We will see her again. I'd bet my life on it.

For those complaining, I don't know what else to tell you. This episode wasn't hard to telegraph, seeing as I pretty much explained exactly what was going to happen before it even aired, and, as I've been saying to anyone who will listen for a while now, Kim was never going to get vacuumed or killed.

Because it was ALWAYS about Jimmy and Kim's emotional journey.

Kim HAD to come to the conclusion she did in order for them to be reunited in any kind of even remotely satisfying fashion in Nebraska, post-Breaking Bad. To that end, I thought this episode was PERFECT. The way their relationship ended, splitting up but still with "I love you"s is going to make their reunion so much more poignant than I ever thought it could be. I was legit expecting some kind of resentment there, and that their reunion would be bittersweet, and while it might still be bittersweet, that spark is still also alive and now I can't wait even more for them to see each other again.

And then the time jump, at exactly that moment, was so f-ing brilliant. I thought we'd get it between episodes, but this was so much better and so much more devastating.

I seriously don't understand how people didn't like this episode, or why anyone could need anymore thrills than we got last episode.

I just though tonight was incredible.

His partner in both business and apparently in life. Flashback scene in BB when Hector kills him poolside on Eladio's order. He died in the spot that Gus was looking at down in the pool after the conversation tonight. That's where the hate he has for them all comes from. And it was all one big long game to get his business rolling and get his revenge
