Once again its Sunday afternoon and I'm ready to watch a show that doesn't come on until Monday.
Nah, too Wizard of Oz.fav13andac1)c said:
What if the black and white represents the emptiness he feels now that he can no longer be a lawyer and no longer has Kim. Then it turns to color when he runs into her at some point before the show ends?
I would be absolutely shocked if there was no Kim in the final 3 episodes. No way for a character that rich to just end with a peace I'm out.Hey Nav said:
I've read an article or two (no link, sorry) where Gilligan says that if there was another series in the BB/BCS world, it would be about Kim.
Therefore, I have hope that she makes it through BCS. Hopefully.
But I believe he said that AFTER the scene above where vacuum guy tells him he's going to Nebraska.Know Your Enemy said:
He said something to the effect of "I'll probably end up managing a Cinnabon in Omaha" to Walt I think it was so he HAD to have some sort of say where he was vacuumed.
You're right. I just re-watched the scene. At the start of episode 15 of season 5 Saul asks the vacuum cleaner repairman "Nebraska? What's in Nebraska?" He says "From now on, you." Good catch.Complete Idiot said:But I believe he said that AFTER the scene above where vacuum guy tells him he's going to Nebraska.Know Your Enemy said:

I didn't fully appreciate the order of that, or had forgotten, until I saw the clip above. I then remember Saul told Walt "be lucky to be a Cinnabon manager in Omaha" while they were sharing that room at the vacuum shop before being disappeared. It's the same episode - Granite State - for both scenes.Know Your Enemy said:You're right. I just re-watched the scene. That's a good call! I could see them doing a cold open of Kim doing mundane day to day things in whatever future living situation she is in during Breaking Bad or while Gene is in Omaha.Complete Idiot said:I didn't fully appreciate the order of that, or had forgotten, until I saw the clip above. I'm still a bit amazed there are 4 episodes left given where they took us, timewise, last Monday. I guess in addition to spending time in Breaking Bad world and timeline, and spending time in Gene timeline in Omaha, they could also spend some time with Kim in her world in a timeline parallel to Breaking Bad?
Kim is the only new character from the BCS timeline who isn't dead and conceivably has a story to tell. Of course Gus and Mike are alive in the BB timeline, but we saw them slip immediately into their personas from that timeline.Quinn said:That's a good call! There is zero question he was talking to the vacuum guy. Since he said he would take care of things himself, I don't see a need to have another scene with the vacuum guy.aTmAg said:
Gene/Saul was on the phone telling somebody that he has been burned. He told that person that he would take care of it himself. Who was he talking to? The vacuum guy? Since Robert Forster died, clearly they can't film a scene with him. If not, then that is a mystery that might need to be solved.
Did they film that scene before Robert Forster died? I wonder if they intended to bring him back.Complete Idiot said:There is zero question he was talking to the vacuum guy. Since he said he would take care of things himself, I don't see a need to have another scene with the vacuum guy.aTmAg said:

Tonight! There are only four more #BetterCallSaul eps left and this one ROARS! Brilliant, one-of-a kind @MMMacLaren directs, remarkable @alisontatlock writes and I love every second. My take: you REALLY don't want spoilers for this one. pic.twitter.com/uCDei9Bp6b

Apparently the term for tonight's "Better Call Saul" is "preantepenultimate," if you're the sort of person who likes silly, largely unusable words. And it's a great episode, if you're the sort of person who likes TV shows.

The end of last episode seemed to be a perfect time to have Walter/Jesse show up. Every other pre-BB storyline is wrapped up. I wonder how they are going to do it now without it seeming forced or strange. Seems like doing it in the Teaser and then jumping straight to Gene timeline would be strange. I'm not sure how they are going to pull it off.
What more story is there to tell with Saul? I can't think of any. I can think of maybe some with other people, like Gus recruiting Gale and Kim going back to Nebraska to her Mom. But not a whole show worth.Know Your Enemy said:aTmAg said:

The end of the last episode was still 2-3 years pre-BB timeline though.
Gene was definitely talking with The Disappearer as Robert Forster was on camera. They filmed it at the same time he was in town for "El Camino"..aTmAg said:Did they film that scene before Robert Forster died?
