Sherman used to call those little QB pooch punts more than most coaches ever have. Too far out to kick a FG, but he was so so conservative. Pretend we were going for it when you knew we weren't and then RT backs up and just pooches it 20 yards.

Figured it was something like that. Lot of talent on that team, but like you said, he was too conservative.

Who said I was talking about you? So many people here are getting offended who shouldn't be. Y'all always talk about me overreacting, yet here some of you are, overreacting, when I wasn't even talking about you. How many times do I have to explain that I don't care if you didn't like it. I was only referring to the people who shared their dislike in an entitled manner.

Sorry, then. I have no idea who you are talking about. Go ahead and put up a list of posters you're referring to so we'll know who the entitled ones are.

Also, what a dig by the writers to Nebraska fans by having Jimmy/Gene say the Huskers had a bright future in a show set in 2010.

I enjoyed it. I love a heist plot, anywhere and anytime.

They handled the cab driver pretty well. He's obviously not the sharpest bowling ball on the rack, so Jimmy's bluff/not bluff about crossing state lines making it a Federal offense put just enough scare into them to convince them a one-off was all they were going to get from him.

I was surprised the garish shirt and tie didn't colorize at the end.

So many complaints about a great episode of TV

This was not another "Fly" episode lol. Jesus

I love getting more Gene. We just saw more Gene tonight than we have in the last 8 years, and we've got at least 3 more hours of content to wrap the story.

I'm ****ing loving this

Now just need to figure out Kim

My only annoying point about this episode is there is clearly a Texas homer on the show staff and that's annoying as ****

One thing I've seen speculated on the web tonight is if this episode would have played better if it was episode one of this season? I enjoyed the episode and it worked for me, but would be interesting to see the reaction if it was the season opener. Obviously some of that will depend on where they go in the next couple of weeks.

If the show goes directly into Gene getting trouble with the law, or meeting Kim, or anything else, then people would be complaining about rushing the story. Just can't win.

Because of this episode, there are now a couple new ways this show can end in addition to some of the thoughts we have all shared over the last weke.

Great PR for Cinnabon. It gets to represent a super-depressing, hopeless place to work whose food is loved by clueless lard asses.

How did the box stay there on the loading dock so long when the manager got so pissed about it? Did I miss something while reading an email?
Gene promised the manager that he would send a truck to pick up the box the next morning, and she agreed.

But the heists were over a series of 6-8 different weeks potentially where they talked about different games and events (the other guard's kid's spelling bee). Gene did his game research so he knew sports.

Not a deal breaker but I was wondering about the continuity. Why was the box there when he promised it would be gone by 10:00 for subsequent events?

I think the heist was a one-night deal. Gene's planning of the heist took weeks.

I thought the episode was merely, "meh". Now after reading TCTTS's childish rant, I hate it.

There can be no wasted episodes? It's impossible? BCS could literally broadcast an hour of static and TCTTS would still lap it up? Get a grip dude.

My issue with the heist is several fold:

1) They are going to talk to the guards who are going to be accused of incompetence. They will be asked if they have violated any policy or if anything had been unusually recently. They almost certainly will mention Gene. And now the police are looking into Gene, which is the last thing Gene wants.

2) The police are going to talk to the store manager who will likely remember the crate. The guards will be asked if they remember the crate. Jerry might remember that Gene balled his eyes out that particular day, and how strange and out of place it was. Again, pointing the finger squarely at Gene.

3) The Taxi driver is going to continue to break the law. He is going to get captured someday. Then he has the ultimate bargaining chip: Saul Goodman.

For a guy who was 10 steps ahead of Howard, this heist seemed awfully short sighted.

What probably SHOULD happen is that the police start closing in on him, and Saul vacuums himself off to another state. But we don't have time for that, and the vacuum actor is dead.

Final note: The Walter and Jesse rumors have been dead wrong so far. And frankly, now that we are 100% in the Gene timeline, a Walter/Jesse appearance makes no sense. It would have to be a flashback (which would seem awkward now). What if the entire Walter/Jesse rumor has been a giant head fake by AMC? That they knew there would be no appearance, wanted to get eyeballs on TVs anyway so they started this rumor? And that they told Vince to say nothing? That would be TERRIBLE. I should say, I do not believe this is the case. I think they will have a flash back in the final episode, and it will be awesome. But I will admit, that I'm starting to get a hint of worry.

It's a clothing department store. Even when they do inventory they'll likely not know things are missing because they took so few of each item.

Additionally the first thought won't be to go look at the tapes, especially if they erase in 72 hours. I don't think we ever see the situation get escalated from the store side. It was a clean heist. If anything happens it will be from the cab driver screwing up on his own and implicating Jimmy to police.

Well, no one noticed the robbery - as was the plan. By stealing just a few of each item, Jimmy/Saul/Gene predicts they won't notice until they do inventory - is that monthly? So they won't even know what day the robbery occurred on and therefore won't be able to link the box or crying to it- at least, that's the plan and this entire caper might have just been the writers showing Saul wanting to come out of his shell. But, it wouldn't be impossible that they get tripped up by the things you mention and perhaps they are going to use this huge risk taken by Jimmy as the catalyst for what gets him caught, sent to jail, and getting his "just" ending.

Yeah, with only 3 units out of 20 sku's missing, that would just be seen as a bump in shrinkage that you'd chalk up to maybe a little more shoplifting during store hours

My post was getting long, so I didn't even mention another vulnerability: Who are those idiots going to sell that merchandise too? It's not like they have an "inside guy". They run the risk of getting exposed the first time they try to sell it to somebody. Then they'll turn in Saul.

And I didn't mention watching video. I know that would be a dead end.

BCS is never going to have the pacing of BB. BB was high drama with just about every episode ending in a cliffhanger. BCS is an exercise in constraint and character development with great writing and spectacular cinematography.

I started enjoying BCS more once I figured out that it was always going to be a slow build, and they were never going to get past it.

1. They will think this is random shoplifting here and there, and not realize it was done in one night. They don't inventory everyday. Even if they do talk to the guards and even if they expect Gene, they're violating policy and won't admit it.

2. They're not going to call the police because they are not going to realize it until inventory and even then, they expect X amount of shoplifting. Even if it's up. they'll suspect an employee, because they steal more from employers than shoppers.

3. This is the only good point you have.

Yeah, my nitpick on the heist would be taking shoes on display. For starters, rarely is an actual pair on display. Second, that was most likely to be noticed next day. But a minor nitpick

Gene also mentioned that only keep the recordings for a few days or weeks (I forgot what he said exactly) so if the theft was discovered during inventory there would be no more security footage of that day.
