This thread would be complete if that movie was a remake of the movie Prop Joe is talking about
Maybe prop joe was so high he misremembers it as an older movie.

I think we should all pitch in, write a script, and then get this movie made so the OP can finally rest easy. It's a straight to DVD movie from the mid-90s. It can't be that hard to make.

I am 100% on board with this idea and will waste enormous amounts of time writing it if anyone wants to contribute character names, settings, or dumb lines of dialogue. My only request is that title we choose has a word that normally ends with an 's' instead end with a Z, or have a Z in it where an S normally would be, or be just the worst parody of a Christmas expression ever such as

JIngle Bellz

or

Winter Murderland

or

Slay Bellz Ring

If it makes you guys feel any better, in my Reddit description despite specifically saying: "One thing I do know is it was action/thriller -- this was NOT a comedy and NOT a horror movie"... the second reply is "Home Alone 3?"

It's debatable that Home Alone 3 is a comedy, although it certainly could qualify for horror movie.

Let Znow, Let it Znow Let it Znow

Where the lead bad guys are triplet Eastern European brothers with the last name Znow.

Classic kill lines when one of them dies.

<throws one of them off a high place> "Look out be-Znow"

<tricks one into going into a furnace, and then lights him up> starts singing "Winter Wonderland" with the emphasis on the line "Znow is glistening."

<hits one of them at high speed with a car going faster than posted speed limit> "Znow down" you know play on "slow down" and the guy whose name is Znow is down…from being run over at high speed.

Let me know if you need my information for a writing credit.

I vaguely remember a movie that fits some of your description. The main character was a former football player and his neighborhood was taken over by ex-military types trying to rob something. He starts running around playing vigilante, throwing stuff at the bad guys like he's hitting receivers.

I looked up Brian Bosworth, but he doesn't have a movie that matches this.

Who knows, maybe I just made that up in my head.

You were almost right, but wrong sport.

I've got one stuck in my head (that is real) but it is hard because it is a common movie trope.

Some sort of mad rush among friends to get someone or something off, running late. Vehicle leaves, 2 or 3 watch them off and then walk back arm in arm in triumph to have a drink. A wedding keeps coming to mind for some reason.

Was this thread a clever ad for the new movie "Violent Night"? Sounds like the same plot.

Sitting here a few drinks in after TCU tailgating, enjoying some Auburn vs Alabama and CBS runs a promo for the new hit show East New York starring Jimmy Smits.

Ahh yeah, that NYPD Blue guy... and then something fires in my brain... maybe he was the lead guy in...

Gentlemen, I present to you 1996's made-for-tv Marshal Law.

So nothing that had any kind of significant star in it.
While never a box office star, it's not as if Jimmy Smits was a minor character actor or anything. The court finds you guilty of failing to remember a key fact, thus contributing to 4 pages of time wastage of the forum.

Kristy Swanson is in this? Should I watch this movie so I can jerk off to it, or was that more fun when I was 11?

You know it's a good movie when you can watch the whole thing free on YouTube.

We should really have a live watch party some night.

Real character names from this movie include:

Cougar
Skin
Weathers the Pizza Boy
Butchie
Ho
Boot Coleman
Mama Doc
Willie D
Old Timer George

There were a lol of things I couldn't remember right to describe, but I think referencing this guy as a knock-off Gary Sinise villain was spot on.
