It's like they ran out of time and money and had to do ... something. What a throwaway.

Ummm. We rewatched the first season while waiting for it to start. The girl ran into a body that was a white male wearing a blue swimsuit. Not Tanya in a dress.

There were so many great things in that episode. Won't go into naming them all.
The perfect way for Tanya to out too, but sad she won't be in Season 3. I have heard Japan is the preferred location, which should be awesome.

Huh? You were seeing things. There is no such thing shown in the first episode.

Just watched it again. Definitely blue. Wasn't a swim suit. Carry on. Ignore me.

Can someone remind me, what was Mia and Bert's interaction before this episode? Having trouble remembering why she would go up to him to tell him about the piano job.

Portia didn't Uber to Taormina after being dumped nor inquire with Albie about the drowning after being told.

Did Ethan and Daphne do it on that island?

Not a bad episode, but all wrapped up a little too neatly for me.

The key to that question is in the interaction between Daphnis and Ethan, when the gist of her argument was that you never really know people and what they do, and that is ok. Then when he went back to hook up with his wife, they broke the flawless statue, which was a symbol for how hard they tried to put up the perfect face for each other in their marriage.
So we aren't supposed to know, only that they both finally embraced the idea of imperfection.

And by the way, the look of devastation when Ethan told her, before she slowly got back into the "I don't expect him to be perfect and I can do my thing too" character was great.

Surprised at who they decided to kill off.

Thought it was a good episode, and wrapped up nicely. There's a quick interview with Mike White just after the credits.

Would be interested to see Portia (or a new character) follow up with Greg for the murders in Season 3.

Have to admit that was pretty disappointing. I feel like none of the storylines had a satisfying payoff. Tanya killing all the gays would've been great if it didn't lead to her dying anyway. I get that Mike White always goes for the irreverent, but that just did not land for me at all.

Very little resolution to the couples storyline in my opinion. They finally have sex but that doesn't really justify that entire storyline. So Cameron is a ******bag, but are we meant to infer that Ethan banged Daphne and that fixed everything? So is the arc here just meant to show that all rich people eventually become terrible people?

Also, weren't there multiple bodies in the water?

I liked it. Tanya was a trip but you just can't keep sustaining a story around her insanity. Like the first season had the brother seeing the beauty in the world, this one basically ends with Albie facing his beta and Portia realizing maybe adventure isn't what she's looking for. Grandpa was awesome throughout

Connie Britton will supposedly return for S3, so she'll be the continuation thread. Supposedly they had a story for her for S2 that they were excited about but schedules didn't work out, so they are going to use it next season

We thought that was great entertainment! A little rushed and some plot points very loosely tied up but all in all a fun ride.
Tanya running around the ship, then trying to play coy while walking around the corner, then running around again, then explaining her whole predicament to the Italian captain was greatness. Her demise was amazing! "You got this"

I asked my wife this same question and she said in one previous episode he walked by her and said something to the effect of " you're much better than the other guy". I think that was it, but his comment inspired her to really go for it.
