Just finished the first episode and thought it was pretty decent. We'll definitely give it a full watch. Red is still hilarious and absolutely steals every single scene he's in. It's awesome having a Texags connection on the show and thought she was easily the best teenage character (And actress). Young Kelso came off as pretty annoying in my opinion but that might change.

Best of luck North Austin,
I've reached out to a ton of people encouraging them to watch it

It gets significantly better as the season goes on.

Watched the first 5 episodes tonight with my wife. It's not as good as the original, but we enjoyed it and ut got better as it went. Loved the cameos, nostalgia and call backs to the original show. From kelso playing with the rubber band, to sitting on the car, shooting hoops, the burger place.

Lots of fun memories and we're looking forward to the last 5 episodes.

I'm several episodes in now and it is definitely getting more watchable. OP you have every reason to be proud. Leia is definitely nailing her role.

I don't think they touched on it this series but I completely forgot Michael has a daughter with Brooke (Shannon Elizabeth) character.

I'm about halfway in and it feels like that 70's show. Everyone who loves the original should enjoy this.

I'm not in love with the new teenage cast yet (although Leia is great), but they are good enough and the old hands are spectacular.

Edit to add this had better get a season 2!

I'm also about halfway through now and it's definitely picking up steam. OP's daughter is fantastic, and the rest of the kids (except for Ozzie) are growing on me as well.

Callie is fantastic as Leia! She's the glue of the show.

Red and Kitty don't miss a beat! "All the dumbasses were gone!!"

This is tons of fun and I hope it gets a second season.

Wow... I had a huge big brain fart. Was watching the birthday episode and when Bob comes in and Kitty says she invited him, I was thinking, "Well that's a forced cameo. Why the hell would she invite Bob to Leia's birthday party?"

lol...

Thanks Rule! As others have pointed out, I do think all of them became more comfortable and improved over the course of the season. We'll never know how far they would have progressed with another 10 episodes in Season 1, hopefully we'll get to see that with a Season 2.

Hahahaha, nice

Don Stark is such a nice guy. Really amazing how gracious and down to earth all of the legacy cast is actually. Here's a fun picture of Callie with her Grandpa Bob at the premiere…

Most of the way through it and you can tell the cast was starting to gel together a bit the more it went on. Normally you would think production expenses for this type of show are pretty low and it would get a season 2 - but I wonder how much they had to fork out to original cast members? Given today's streaming craziness nothing is guaranteed, but I do hope it gets a second season.

We started it last night and are enjoying it so far! I'm curious on the time frame from the pilot to the rest of the season. Some of the kids seems to aged quite a between the first and second episode.

My wife and I watched the first episode. I agree with some of the others that it seems very "teen Disney" at times. Maybe that was just the pilot. Does it settle into something not quite so cutesy (for lack of a better word)?

The pilot was probably shot months if not longer before the rest. Although Netflix may do things differently.

Finished it up last night and overall I thought it was good and certainly worth another season.

However, I wasn't a big fan of the writing. The whole innocent confused teen storyline as WAY overplayed.

I got the sense it was just one long episode cut into 20 min segments. If it goes further I wanna see some variety from episode to episode and not just the same 'Oh no I'm so confused' plot.

I will also say that I think Leia is the best actor of the kids group by far. She definitely carries that group.

We finished it up last night, too. Felt like it picked up steam as it went on, and I'm hoping for a 2nd season. Sometimes it felt like a Nickelodeon show with drinking, smoking, and cussing but it wasn't enough to get me to turn it off.

Moments with the original cast were great. Leia is a good main character, and I like the chemistry between Jay and Nate. Those two remind me of Eric, Hyde, and Kelso's friendship.

OP's daughter and the actor who plays Jay are the best of the kids. The others are too over the top for me.

As some have said, they use that Disney Channel overacting style that is just grating.

The old-timers are awesome. It's like they never stopped the show. That must be cool to come back years later and recapture the chemistry so quickly.

Three episodes in. Enjoying it. Looking forward to the remaining episodes.

My only gripe: The gay Asian kid is brutal. Just a terrible character with terrible lines and the kid portraying him is a terrible actor. Everything about that character is so forced.

Red Forman is the best TV dad. Fight me.

I'll check it out to see how the cast gels. The original just had such a fantastic cast with a lot of chemistry. Which year in the 90's is this show supposed to be set in? I always found it funny how That 70's Show starts in 1977... then takes 8 seasons to get to 1980 with several Christmases, Halloweens, and Thanksgivings in there. It's still one of my favorite shows and one I will go back to and rewatch. I especially always loved their Halloween and Christmas episodes.

One thing that bugged me is that in the first episode (unless I completely misheard this) Donna says that Eric is 38. It's 1995. That means he would have been 18 in '75. Totally not meshing with the original show.

That's what bugged you?

That 70's Show's timeline is all kinds of messed up. The first season is in '77, but then the last season ends with the beginning of 1980. There are more than 3 christmas, thanksgiving, and halloween episodes.

I never watched this show

are you stating that Shannon Elizabeth shows up in this new 90s show or only in the old 70s show?

Thought your daughter did a fine job and definitely has a future in acting!

That being said, the other kids seemed amateurish and strained. The diversity issue is salient as it robbed the show of credibility.

Asian kid was annoying and out of place.

This was to That 70s show as Cobra Kai is to Karate Kid…

Finished it last night and thought it was good, will definitely watch if it gets renewed. My wife watched the original, but I've only seen a handful of them, so I think I did a good job of standing on its own and not needing a lot of knowledge of the original to enjoy.

I was thinking they would do the predictable thing and somehow have Leia stay in Wisconsin, but they didn't.

The entire That 70's Show universe is just a trippy dream sequence that Eric has the first time he gets high. It seems really long, but all of it occurs within the span of about 5 minutes of completely zoned out thought in 1976.

At least that's my theory.

I'm aware. They didn't know how long that show was gonna run so they did what they could during it's tenure. That's pretty obvious and a pretty lazy complaint.

Mine is trivial, sure, but c'mon. At least TRY to make things work in the established timeline up to now.
