I did notice that the timing of everything was a bit off.

Like it seemed liked the events in the show were happening with a day or two of each other but the season was supposed to be over the entire summer.

It doesn't bother me but just an observation.

Hurley, yes there was a bit of a time lapse between the Pilot and Ep2. It was not intentional but due to some delays. Hopefully if there is a Season 2 they will be able to film them straight through to maintain the momentum each week.

If you have not continued and finished it yet, which I will unapologetically request everyone do, I do believe you will see a progression and hopefully have a positive takeaway by the end.

Asking on watching it all the way through as it is a potential metric that Netflix uses when deciding on renewal. I really believe the show has a lot of potential as the kids grow up, their storylines flesh out. Etc.

Thanks for watching

Finally got to the final episode. It's taken me this long to get through the 10 episodes, so that should illustrate my overall feelings of the show.

I've seen worse shows, but it just wasn't my thing. I put That 70's Show in my top 3 sitcoms of all time. This one just didn't have the characters, chemistry, or charm of That 70's Show.

I really don't care about any of the characters, and it felt like we just rushed through generic story points in 10 episodes, but not really taking the time to get us to like these characters or putting them in situations that make them relatable. I watched all 10 episodes, and could only tell you Leia's and Jake's name, because they were said so much. I don't remember the names of any of the others, and the girlfriend of the other guy is the most forgettable.

All of my other critiques, and those others have posted on this thread, are still relevant to me. The only times I laughed or smiled were when they brought in the previous cast. The laugh tracks were also about as bad as The Big Bang Theory.

Congrats to your family northaustinaggie87, that's awesome.

I watched it all pretty soon after it released. It's fairly short. And I will watch the next season if they do one. It was a rough start, but I thought the chemistry got better through the season. The gay Asian kid was a beating the whole season though.
It did seem to suffer from he "Disney Channel overacting". And the laugh track was Big Bang Theory bad.

Overall, I thought it was just ok. Like DallasTeleAg mentioned, it all felt so rushed.

Binged it last night. I thought it was pretty decent, not as funny as the original, but did feel like a lot of the humor was about . Was definitely great whenever the original cast was brought in, and felt like Red and Kitty definitely held the whole thing together. Definitely hit and miss on the kids. Callie was great, I felt the Kelso kid had the mannerisms down pretty well, and I liked the best friend, though it felt like she was kind of relegated to the background quite a bit. The others were pretty meh.

Definitely agree with others that it should have been more episodes. 10 feels so short for a sitcom like this, especially when dealing with both young actors and writers trying to get comfortable with the characters. Hopefully it gets renewed.

Side note, wanted to see if your daughter had been in anything else, OP, and noticed she was in one of the movies my former company produced (Lost Husband). I didn't work on the movie side myself, but still, small world. Hope she's able to find more success!

Before she was Leia Forman, 'That '90s Show' star Callie Haverda was an Austinite

My parents actually didn't really want me to get into it from such a young age. But I convinced them, because I thought it was so much fun.
Good thing you gave in, Pops.

Congrats northaustin and your daughter!

There's so much potential with this show. Really hope with 16 new episodes they'll have time to figure things out.

Excited for season 2!

Thanks Justin, and I very much agree. We were all so happy when they told Callie it would be 16 episodes in S2. Really excited to see where these storylines go!
