What's the best way to find out about concerts besides the artists directly or Texags? I would have completely missed the Billy Strings sale if not for seeing it here! I'm on the Billy Strings mailing list NOW, but I wonder how many presales I've missed to shows that I would love to see.

Songkick or bandsintown for specific artists.

You can follow them and get alerts when something is scheduled. Or some have their own mailing lists

Or follow a particular venue if you have some in mind

Glad I could be of service to you and Philo B 93.

All you have to do is buy a new t-shirt or hat you don't need every single tour merch drop and click the subscribe to mailing list box when checking out.

In all seriousness, it does suck that artists announce entire tour dates these days and then say hey the artist pre-sale is tomorrow.

Billy St Augustine 3 night run last weekend was the best of my life. That venue lived up to the hype for sure and the town and everyone we encoutered were amazing. Can't wait to do it again every year for as long as they play there.

Ran into Jarrod Walker and his very fine fiance' day 2 around 1 pm as we were roaming the streets of St Augustine searching for this great Irish Pub. They couldn't have been nicer. Oddly the first band member I've met out of 30 shows now but I'm not a stalker despite what the OH BILLY meme above might suggest. ;-)

And now to fight through the Sturgill pre-sale tomorrow morning for the Austin show tour opener. Kind of a nut kick to be the night before Ags season opener but he's one of the few artists I thoroughly enjoy that I have never seen live somehow.

Had buddies see him at Club Dada a long time ago and I didn't even know who he was. Will see if it's as easy to pull off GA/Floor as it was for Billy at Moody last December and for Billy Dickies this coming December.

I suspect it will be about the same. If TM screws up as its won to do and the map won't pull up then scroll to the right and down as quick as you can and search manually.

Oh yeah, and CashOrTrade got bought by TM today which sucks but CoT already sold out awhile back.

Oh, and I got ****ed for Billy St Augustine PITS for last Saturday by StubHub trying to transfer me tickets in which they requested me to set up a new AXS account when I've already had one for 10 years. $1,150 somewhat down the drain.

It's a jungle out there.

Sturgill ATX pre-sale just now was a breeze. Started off 384 in the queue and got a pair of PIT instantly and checked right out. $198 each.

People on the Sturgill subreddit are freaking out about the prices, but kind of is what it is. I've seen him three times, and I'll probably get tickets. Kind of sucks that the closest spot to me is Raleigh on a Wednesday…

Is that really him?

Was reading a thread on another forum about various Johnny Blue Skies on sales. It appears he may have thought he could sell arenas much better than has been indicated thus far.

Most of the upper bowl could be curtained off for Austin. Lots of other venues around the country only half sold for now as well.

His statement about the bigger arenas is that he wanted anyone who wanted to see them could get in. Lower ticket prices would have helped with that.

Combination of things - he just toured, he's not popular enough to be in 20k arenas, and he restricted resale so there's little speculative secondary market action for him.

That's part of his problem right there as well. If he can't sell out arenas in the first place, then why restrict resales?

That's not even the worst part. He restriced ticket transfers.

Dude needs to hire Billy's manager if he wants to take it to the next level.

And I'm not hating. Again, I was 338 in the queue and checked out with PIT. If I end up not being able to go I'd gladly sell them to someone on this forum for less than face. I just wouldn't be able to exchange them to you and have to let you use my TM login. Not ideal.

Calling all metalheads.. No US dates from this band since 2010 aside from 3 club shows and a festival in 2018.
I love the last record Eonian.. sucks they didn't tour it in USA. Hopefully new album is similar style.

Metal Apocalypse Death Band of Death just doesn't have the same effect if it's written in Comic Sans.

That Party Cannon logo disturbs me much more. Makes me think it's clowns playing death metal which is slightly terrifying.

gotta love the confidence

" Live Nation insisted it's not a monopoly, saying that artists, sports teams and venues decide prices and ticketing practices. A company lawyer insisted its size was simply a function of excellence and effort."

I would have loved to go but the schedule wouldn't work for me.

Not gonna make Eric Johnson next week either.

With Carl Cox?!?! How was that??!

I had tickets to see the Prodigy in Dallas and then Keith offed himself and needless to say the show got canceled.

Seeing them after TOOL 1997 Lollapalooza at Starplex open to "Smack My ***** Up" as we rushed passed security like maniacs will forever be one of my all time favorite concert memories.

I love Carl Cox but post 2000. Wasn't that big a fan of early 90s rave music, which is all Cox played on vinyl for 2 straight hours, until Prodigy came along and made it better. So I was happy to get to see him work vinyl tables but the music selection was eh.

The Prodigy killed it though. The mosh pit was insane all show.
