I like some of her stuff (and at 70+ she's still gorgeous) but Christine was better.aggiegrad01 said:

Jackson Pollock. Paint splatters is not art.
Also Picasso. Some of that stuff looks like my kids' refrigerator art.

I was gonna laugh if you said Soundgarden.

I absolutely loved Olivia Newto John back in the day.
Then she did a concert at G Rollie that bored me to tears. I swear she did not move muscle the entire concert. Her albums had more life than she displayed in that concert.
Feel the same about Dylan. A lot of meh, but what isn't meh is superb. Boots of Spanish Leather is one of the prettiest songs ever written/recorded IMO.Redstone said:
Dylan….I have many takes about him. Leaves amazing stuff off, makes many awful decisions of lyrics, song inclusion, album production … BUT his highs are amazing. He's a vocalist more than a singer, trawling the American songbook for inspiration / theft. However, his vocal talent and arrangement ability was, when he chose, top tier: listen to Before the Flood.
This is the most obvious answer for me. Ironically, I've probably listened to Rush more than any other artist because one of my best friends gave me their entire catalog on a thumb drive. And I've gone out of my way to listen to them and by sheer number of songs they will play randomly quite often in my shuffle.DrEvazanPhD said:

Spilner FTW. My buddy plays in Max Weinberg's Jukebox. I've never had the heart to tell him just how much I can't stand Bruce Springsteen (not that he would care anyway).Brian Earl Spilner said:

I don't know and/or like much other than Purple Rain, but I LOVE that album.YouBet said:
I can also understand Prince. Incredible talent that can't be replaced. Dude is a savant. Modern day Beethoven....but I'm assuming there is a reason no one has ever heard most of his music after the late 80s apparently of which there are thousands of songs. Would love to be proven wrong on that one.

Willie Nelson. I like his duets, I like his songwriting, but his performances have always been meh to me.
Hah, I mean even his non-duet albums. I just don't like his singing.Ol_Ag_02 said:Claude! said:

I mean if you saw him 20 years ago he was already 70. Give the guy a break he's doing his best.
