Scored about 4.5 million on Robotron. Used 1 quarter, and took about 2.5 hrs.

Yes, I have the olds

Oh...and got a hole in one on the par 4 7th on Wii Sports golf

My brother was also a whiz at Robotron. He would get into the millions and play for hours.

That game was fun.

Did anybody play Double Dragon with a friend and at the end one of you would body throw the other up to that balcony where you could get the machine gun before the enemies got it?

I also once was able to land the plane in top gun.

Once.

Karate Champ cabinet at the food court. The day before I moved away from town June 1988. I had pumped about $20 worth of quarters into that box over the year playing that game. Finally, I "won" and put my initials at the TOP of the leaderboard. I will remember it to the day I die. I had a Dr. Pepper and some Reese's Pieces. I was wearing my orange and blue Jamz shorts and a Pittsburgh Pirates Barry Bonds big head (prescient?) T-Shirt with black reebok sneakers. The sun was shining. The birds were singing. And I was king of Karate Champ.

I never owned Contra, but two games I owned that I never beat were Battletoads and Ghosts n Goblins. NES games were so much more difficult than any other system.

Duddleys had a Cyberball machine? When was that?

Rolled the score on Galaga multiple times. Best is to play from Player 2 seat so the score doesn't roll back.

I still know the code for Super Contra.

I loved blowing up some injured robot players on the other team as a Safety and then scooping the ball and scoring.

That game was fun.

Mid-late 90s? Don't quite remember when they took it out. Maybe as late as 2000-2002ish?

Ah okay, that would have been after my time - thanks. Probably for the best, or I would have spent even more time at Duddleys.

I played the first NCAA football a ton, so much so that I could run most of the plays with my eyes closed. One of my friends cousins came into town, didn't believe me, talked trash to me, so I turned off the TV but kept the game running and proceeded to run my favorite play which was a passing play with a deep flag route.

It literally was all of us staring at a blank screen and me doing joystick motions. I could tell by the lack of vibration in the controllers that it either was an incomplete pass or I had scored, but I went ahead and felt good enough about it to say out loud "We'll that's a touchdown".

"Bull****" the other guy says. I told him "Turn on the TV and find out for yourself." Sure enough he goes over to the TV and there's my guy in the back of the end zone for 6.

We ran back the replay, I had juked two defenders after the catch to score that touchdown. It was probably a 30-40 yard deep pass and another twenty yards after the catch. Pretty awesome seeing his reaction.

It was at that point though, I did wonder if maybe I played too much football.

Despite being the youngest member of my family, I was the first one to get to Level 7 of Conan: Hall of Volta on the Apple 2E. My dad, my brother and I had played it for hundreds of hours with no idea what to do on each level and just guessing our way along.

As fate would have it, I figured out Level 6 on a day when my dad and brother were off out of the house. I made my mom come into the room and verify that it showed Level 7 (the last level) on the screen so that they would believe me when they got home.

I could consistently land the plane on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun, couldn't do the mid air refueling in the next level.

I could consistently make it through the underwater level of TMNT.

Beating the TMNT arcade game with 3 of my friends was a pretty solid accomplishment at the time. We came in determined that day, costs be damned.

In the original Call of Duty I played a game online in the Hurtgen Forest map as an American GI carrying my trusty M1 Garand. (Made that cool PING!!! noise every time the last round force ejected the empty magazine…)

Saw a Kraut up in a tree sniping my comrades so I raised my rifle to shoot…but I resisted. Instead I snuck around behind him, scaled the tree, got up behind him and pistol-whipped him off the branch with my 1911.

Dude was pissed.

The original TMNT on NES is universally recognized for being one of the hardest games ever right?

Is this the Conan game where you could decapitate the enemy and see the head fly off?

Super Mario Bros

I beat Super Mario Bros without warping or dying, I beat every level of the game… and didn't die once.
I did this once when I was in college. I was so proud of myself.

Oh, I also scored over 1,800,000 on Donkey Kong on the ColecoVision. The score didn't have enough digits, but I flipped it back to zero and then tacked on another 800,000 points.

This is kind of an accomplishment, but I got to mission 78 out of 93 in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on Proud Mode (player takes 75 percent more damage than usual and HP prize recovery is reduced by thirty percent) before I got stuck.

Yes. After the underwater level you had to make some impossible jump from building to building that I could never make.

I spent so much money on that game, was in Duddley's pretty much every day for 3 years.

Loved Battletoads. Never beat it. I don't think we ever got past the underground level with the hover bikes.

This was one of my favorite games! I always got lost in the underground caverns. Fortunately there were no grues, like in Zork.

This is a great thread. I don't have any real major accomplishments. I killed the Lich King in World of Warcraft with a group of 9 other scrubs. That probably isn't very impressive, but I think it was the only current raid I ever completed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - I had a round with like 70 kills and only 1 death.

I created an alternate soldier for Battlefield 2142 called Yougotsliced and all I did was try to kill people with the knife (and collect their dogtags). I had it around a 14:1 kill/death ratio with knife.

I sunk 8 out 12 ships in a World of Warships match, once.

But probably my favorite accomplishment was making a coach for NCAA football dynasty mode, getting hired by t.u. and running that program straight into the ground. They fired me after one season, going 0-12.

Battletoads was ridiculously hard. That giant snake level is frustrating as hell.

I beat Super C without dying once. I bet I still could.

I beat Doom before I even knew there were cheat codes for it.

In the first year Star Wars Galaxies was out, maybe 2003? My Wookie merchant/smuggler started making pieces of junk and renaming them "Rare Fallen Shard of the Death Star" and "Exar Kun's LIghtsaber" and "Millenium Falcon Nav Computer" and selling them in my store for $50 million credits apiece.

After about 20 people had bought one, I got a real-life email from the developers of the game telling me I couldn't do that anymore and logged back to find my account zeroed - no credits, no equipment, no store.

Probably beating Super Metroid when I was like 10 years old.
