Anyone excited for the finale?

Didn't want to start a new topic because no one seems to be watching, but I finally got around to watching episode 1 of season 45 and all I can say is wtf. The cast is horrible and I can't see how it'll get better

Last season had a great cast, but this one is such a snoozer.

So it does get better, then. There's definitely no where to go but up after the premiere.

My favorite 2 parts are Sifu basically being a cartoon character and Austin freaking out about the sandwich he was denied. My daughter is and is watching it for the first time and absolutely loves it.

Kaleb is great, though he's playing too good of a game. Emily is fascinating bc she actually seemed to change her personality, which I don't remember seeing before. Katurah hating on Bruce is pretty funny. I hope Austin eventually gets his sandwich.

My daughter and I have been making each other die laughing (and annoying my wife and other child) by randomly saying, "Look, I had my eyes on that sandwich and she kept it from me. SHE"S GONE." around the house for the last week.

Emily has played a remarkable high wire escape act game. Bruce has been stunningly annoying.

What's funny about that is literally taking the "advantage" puts a target on your back. She wanted to "play" survivor so badly she lost the forest in the trees.

Does anyone else think that Jake is going to have a medical evac? His multiple stumbles plus the weight loss has me worried. I hope I'm wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

They didn't show it, but he was definitely checked out. If there were any real issues, they'd have pulled him.

That's true. I guess the strategy of spending all of your money immediately will probably be here to stay, but not knowing when the auction ends will through some luck into it.

Great episode. Watching with my daughter, this is her first season. We freezeframed Jake's face 10 times. Very impressive move by Rama plus tonight. Incredible how little liked Bruce is. Nobody congratulates him for winning a brutal II

I started watching survivor on Paramount and watched the first 4 seasons. I wanted to catch up on the latest season and started the first episode. I am not someone who rags on people for being snowflakes and stuff about gen z.

But **** me do some of the yellow team basically fall into every ****ing stereotype about gen Z/millenials. Also lol Kendra on blue team

Respect Katurah and the other woman straight up lying about their careers.

The evolution of the game and gameplay is dramatic. After watching recent seasons you maybe disappointed with gameplay in earlier seasons. But earlier seasons were incredible TV at the time. Just understand that the current players have dissected years of gameplay by some masters, the earlier contestants were truly average joes trying to figure it out on the fly.

I still have some favorites I will watch from time to time.

Oh I get it. Honestly I kind of appreciate it with the earlier seasons that it isn't nearly as dissected. But goodness the Kellie play and the stuff regarding all the immunities and sitd really throws stuff on its head.

I will say there seems to be a significant defocus on surviving since they get their own water and it doesn't seem this season that there was much of a concern on eating as well, especially if the yellow tribe went 9 days without fire.

My dad and I always thought they should utilize some places in North America, although at this point it's probably to lock down spoilers from drones as such as much as anything.

Where were they the year the guy killed the wild pig? I remember them seeing a wild elephant one year as well.

Another amazing win by Bruce last week. That sort of challenge seems impossible for anyone with a lot of arm strength because your arms are so heavy with muscle. That and his foster childhood story are really turning his public perception a lot.

Also kudos to Austin for trying to get after Dee.

That's exactly it. They have hotels locked down, sites cleared, etc. saves them a ton of money and OtA isn't making as much as it used to.

Remember that dope on Fans vs Favorites who have up his idol and they immediately votes him out? Although I think prime-era Parvati was involved, so that does make it more understandable.

I've only watched 20-30% of the seasons, so I missed out on that.

If the Survivor producer knew that Katurah and her mom were estranged and let her send a letter, that's messed up. Surely that was an accident? I assume that they ask each player ahead of time who they would want a letter from and Katurah's mom provided one with her sister? The whole thing was odd.

Great plan by Emily to get Bruce out. You can tell that she was super pumped that it worked. I'm kind of wondering if she sneaks in and wins.

Poor Jake. The guy is trying but it's just not his game. He's getting taken to the Final 3 at this point, right?

I hope Jake wins the $ 1 million because his stock as someone who people would want to hire as a lawyer must be plummeting. Katurah's night felt like there's a bigger story there, but the producers aren't interested in it, which probably means she's not going far or getting votes.

I think what Emily really did was showcase to both sides of the big Red 4 that she is the swing pin to get them the advantage to knock out the other 2. Whether she ends up siding with one pair or another, her ability to talk Bruce out of that idol was impressive.'

Congrats to Bruce for joining James the Gravedigger in the very niche SUrvivor black guy with big muscles who went home with an idol in his pocket - 2 for James - Hall of Fame.
