The Belo 4 almost made a really stupid move last night. I think that if they had voted out Julie that none of them would have made the Final 3. They would have been picked off one by one the rest of the way. Luckily for them, Julie kept the idol and bailed them out by voting out Emily. I would have probably been spiteful and voted out Austin.

I really enjoyed seeing Emily's transformation. Pretty unusual to see someone adapt and change like that on the island.

Real missed opportunity by Jake, Emily, and Katurah at tribal. They could have banded together to vote out Austin or Dee and then had control of the game.

Yeah it's crazy how they left those 4 get to 7 - and now 6. At least that means there's a good chance we have a really good final-3 and winner. But goats playing like goats means someone from the dominant alliance will run the table. Not enough time to pick them all off.

Austin totally ****ed up giving her his idol then trying to vote her out.

Then telling Dee, the only one that would tell her.

I still think they might've held it strong with Jake to the 4. Jake is like a puppy dog wanting people to like him and he believes that if he wins fire, which he's they've already foreshadowed him practicing, he'll win it.

As it is now, Julie is going to win if they don't get her out.

Julie
Dee
Katurah
Austin
Drew
Jake

That's my ranking of most likely to win in the final.

Yeah Austin not asking Julie for his idol back to not rock the boat is a little weak to me. Passive. But, because he held his water, he's safe until the final 5.

I'm thinking they all turn on Julie, and maybe based on the immunity challenge results they either get Julie out, or if she's safe they take out Drew. Decent chance Katurah or Jake get a ricochet out there.

Then at 5 everyone guns for the remaining of Julie, Austin, Drew.

Nobody wants to sit by Julie. I think at a certain point you also don't want to sit by Drew. I think anyone wants to sit by Katurah or Jake. So it just depends on how willing Austin and Dee are to turn on each other as well, and if Drew fits into their final 3 or not.

By the way - what an insane story, what Katurah has been through as a person. Good for her, to overcome all that!

I really like Katurah - she's been one of my favorite players this season - but no way she's third most likely to win. I think it's whoever from Belo 4 makes it to the end will win. I would probably say Dee, Drew, Julie, Austin in that order.

I really enjoy Katurah now. She was insufferable when Bruce was there. I am glad the complaining is over.

Drew got way too cocking last night and it cost him. I just don't understand how anyone can feel so safe at any point in this game.

I really thought it was funny when he said we're horrible liars as Dee was lying to him.

I wonder if Austin and Dee survive with her lying to him. He's being real and she's still playing the game.

Drew was certainly cocky, but there wasn't too much he could do. I guess he could have tried to convince Austin to play the idol on him, but I'm not sure if Austin would have done that or not.

Dee is playing by far the best game. I really hope that she wins immunity next week so that she can hopefully make it to the end.

Jake is still clueless and Katurah doesn't have a shot. I feel like Katurah could be a solid player, but she was so side tracked by Bruce and never made any real alliances.

Dee has everyone coming to her for info. That's a true sign of someone in control of the game.

Dee messed up Austin's game but Austin gave Dee info not to mess up her game.

Yeah Austin is the inferior member of the Dee-Austin duo. I've wondered for a while if he was actually smart. Getting Emily as a trusted ally shows a good social game, and having two idols and not getting blindsided was good, but he's been in the dark on the last two councils. Not reading when he's being lied to (as Emily lied to him earlier as well), leaking info and then being surprised when your plan fails, etc. I think he gets beat by Dee OR Julie.

And heck, maybe even Jake if Jake can somehow play his idol dramatically, get Dee or Julie out, then beat the other one at fire. He could, hypothetically, put together an amazing final episode and be left standing with one goat (Katurah) and one unconvincing "mastermind" (Austin) who's been on his back foot for 4 straight tribals. That'd be a Maryanne/Gabler style ending.

I think Dee may have won the battle but lost the war last night by taking Drew out a week too soon. If Julie is as smart as I think she is, she will move to ally with Jake and Katurah and go after Dee first and then Austin. She could add taking out those two strong players on her resume and beat either of Jake or Katurah in the finals.

You can only vote out one more person. Then fire.

The most interesting final tribal would be Dee, Julie, and Austin.

We'll see. Anything can happen at this point.

I'm convinced Jake is a shaved circus bear at this point. There is no way he's pulling off the oscillating ball maze thing. I'm taking him to the final if I'm any of the other 4 left.

My rankings of the final five. I believe #1 can beat the other 4 in a vote, and so on and so forth down the line.

#1 Dee
#2 Julie
#3 Austin
#4 Katurah
#5 Jake

Both Jake and Katurah have to do something huge to get into votes territory, and knocking off Julie won't do that because it's been tried already, so it won't be a blindside or anything.

Next Tribal, Jake, Katurah, and Julie need to take out Dee. I doubt Austin's "2nd brain" will let him vote for Dee. And he burned his idol so he can't save her. He needs to be left out of yet another decision.

Final challenge, Jake or Katurah need to win immunity.

Final Tribal, Jake or Katurah need to save the other one, then save Austin, then give up immunity and take Julie to fire and beat her.

Resume becomes "Voted Dee Out" , bet on themselves, and then personally did what nobody else could by taking out Julie.

For Katurah, with her back story, that might be enough to beat out Austin. For Jake, he's going to have to go all "I was tahgated all came, bro, and I'm still heahh!"

I think there may be less butthurt from Ponderosa because of the shortened time there.

This was the last tribal council it was good for. He decided to use it, since it became worthless after that.

He gave his real idol to Julie, burning that one.

Kudos to Jake for finding the idol. But I'm not even really sure what it means at this point. I thought he would use it to blindside Drew and make his big move but he didn't even need to. Nobody is going to want to eliminate him from #5 to #4 because everyone thinks they can beat him. If he could use the title to blindside either Dee or Julie at the 5 to 4 tribal and win the final immunity, he could put himself in the fire competition against whomever was left from Dee/Julie, eliminate them and take Austin and Katurah to the final 3.

Thinking further on the subject, Dee is right now impossible to beat in the Final 3. She singlehandedly dictated taking out Emily by warning Julie about the blindside and then kept quiet to Austin about the Drew blindside, which if she had told him, he could have prevented, and led the charge to vote out Kaleb and Kendra earlier in the year. Has Dee even received a vote at TC yet the whole season? - I looked it up, she got 1 vote from Sean the night he went home, and that's it. That was Episode 4.

Julie is the second favorite and has been loyal throughout, which would garner a lot of votes. Plus she's been super tough at challenges. She'll win against anyone but Dee based on the show so far. Can't see anyone but Dee beating her based solely on likability.

Austin's biggest original ally is gone and he's been blindsided by Dee. His only way forward to a win at this point would be to hope Dee doesn't win immunity and blindside her and eliminate her. But unsure he has the balls to do so.

Katurah has survived by never getting targeted and by being a lot smarter than I gave her credit for. She was the swing vote that saw Kaleb go home, kept the others wise to the fact that Bruce was lying about losing his idol, helped execute the blindside of Drew, and has managed to keep it a secret the whole game that she's a lawyer. If she could get in a final 3 with Austin and Jake, I'd give her a shot.

Jake: Is approaching Philip/Coach level knucklehead making it far status. His only hope is to use the idol this week to blindside Julie or Dee, then hope to win immunity and wipe out someone in the fire competition. And basically tell the jury I got carried for 23 days and then I took over.

From a karma standpoint, it was pretty fascinating watching Drew's utter meltdown from game master to glorified babysitter to crying about no being on the helicopter while Jake tried to remind them that they were still on Survivor. Nice to see him blindsided after all that.

What a dumb move by Katura to let Dee waltz into the final 4 and have the clear path to victory. Katura kept getting mad even afterwards at Jake for not telling her that he would use the idol on her. Yeah, because she constantly told everything Jake told her to everyone on the island. She potentially would have turned to vote Jake out if she knew he was giving her the idol.

I'm glad that we got a deserved winner in Dee. It was nice to have a competitive Final Tribal between her and Austin. You could tell that once he took credit for the 4 alliance that it was on.

Did anyone else think that Katurah was going to vote Jake at the final 5? I don't think he could have handled it if that had happened after he played his idol for her. Poor guy, he wanted to be good at Survivor so bad. I'm really glad he won fire.

Pretty solid season after a really rough start.

Also, it's ridiculous to me that making fire is considered a big move but winning immunity challenges is a complete nothing burger. I blame the S2 jury for this when they gave the win to Tina over Colby.

Katurah gave that game to Dee.

Katurah literally cost herself a shot and then blamed Jake. Poor guy, i was rooting for him. He loved the whole game. He did go titty baby when he stomped on the challenge.

I thought it was really sweet when Julie told Katurah to go to law school.

They were all really likable players and they did a great job casting.

I thought Dee was having a TERRIBLE tribal until the very end when she ripped Austin's soul out of his body by revealing one final lie re: the Julie vote. I'm of the opinion that last reveal won her the final vote.

PS, I miss the days where they all got to watch the season before the votes were revealed. You don't get people complaining about their edits anymore, and that was always one of the best parts. I get the impression they gave Jake a tough edit. His explanation that he disclosed his idol specifically so he could try a big move with it instead of saving himself showed me more forethought that I thought he was capable of. When he was telling folks, I was yelling at my TV because I just kind of figured he was too excited to hide it.
Quinn

I agree that Dee wasn't having a great tribal and that dropping the Julie idol move on Austin sealed the deal for her.

Jake had some decent ideas throughout the game, but he was terrible at convincing people to go along with his plan. I don't think people went along with him once? I blame him and not other people for that. Be more trustworthy or convincing.

Katurah is arguably the worst survivor player I've watched.

Others have had dumb mistakes and misread a situation, but she has sustained ability to misread an entire season. Reba was targetting Belo to get the numbers. Despite this, she kept on betraying her fellow Belo members when they tried to vote out Reba.

The whole "Jake is bad at Survivor and everyone hates him" narrative began when Jake (Belo) targeted Julie (Reba) and Katurah betrayed him, resulting in Kaleb going home

Bruce came up with a convincing lie about losing his idol, he shares it with her planning to vote out Belo and she immediately tells others.

She convinces Jake to vote for Dee, then switches her own vote to Julie and blames Jake for using an idol on her.

She disliked the people on her tribe (Bruce, Jake) and wanted to impress the cool kids who weren't on her tribe. Her decision making was purely emotional.

Then in the finale she delivers the zinger "I played the game with my head and not my heart"

Jake won a lot of fans in the finale. And I liked him calling out Katurah immediately after she blew the vote. She literally gave Dee $1 million that she might well have won for herself, that sucks.

My daughter watched it wire to wire with me and is planning on trying out in 2030.

Jake is one of the biggest idiots I've ever seen on survivor.

He knew Dee and Austin were lovers. He wants to take out Dee, yet he tells Austin he has an idol.

Had he not done that, he probably could have taken Dee out by playing his idol and voting for Dee.

His issue was trusting Katurah. He played it perfectly other than that.

He knew if he had any shot of winning, he needed to produce a big move in front of the jury. He's not that stupid. He knows they saw his failures.

So, he gets them to not vote for him by telling them he has an idol and he was playing it on himself.

Then, he and Katurah decide to vote for Dee. His plan was perfect.

Except Katurah freaks out at the last minute.

I was surprised the vote was so close, but maybe that's because we saw all of Dee's machinations behind the scenes that most of them didn't know about.

Really nice how genuine the jury was. Although my daughter immediately noticed that Bruce didn't ask a question that was shown on TV. Lord only knows what he said. Nice to see Drew bounce back from his hissy fit to be a real treat at the finale. I'd tab him for a future All-Stars show. He's like if Cochran had accidentally take a growth hormone pill for a few years.

Yeah, i'm wondering what Bruce said that they edited out.

My guess he was probably a butthurt jury member and everyone else was so positive they wanted to keep the vibe.
