I tried to like it, but in the end, to me, the science aspect that Dan and Harold brought to it was just lacking and hurt it more than anything. I thought the opening scene was great and then everything after that was mostly garbage.

That elephant isn't in my room. He's barely out of his teens, and I wouldn't judge him based on looks.
I thought he was fine in the previous Ghostbusters flick. Also thought he's been good in the Stranger Things series.

I think Ray and Winston will have more to work with this time around, but I would guess that Peter will have about the same as Afterlife, if not a few more scenes.
I don't expect the OGB's to be there at the end alongside with the new cast to defeat the big bad. The torch has been passed, but the old crew will be there in a supporting role.

New trailer should be dropping shortly this morning along with a lengthy article from Empire magazine.

I think I initially said the Spengler family would be the ones at the end defeating the big bad at the end of the movie, however, I think all points now show that there will be a big enough conflict where both groups will be needed to send this ancient ghost family and it's group of minions back to where they came from.

Probably. I'm not planning on dropping $17 for one just to have one. Outside of the next trailer, I have learned enough info that I'd rather not know anything else about it.
Magazines cost $17 these days?
I'm sure getting it digitally is cheaper, but getting it from Empire and mailing it to me was around that much.
Anyway, looking at what has been posted so far, it looks like everyone involved is swinging for the fences. I hope this does well at the box office. While a lot of Afterlife in the 2nd half of the movie followed what the original GB did, this looks to truly be a new Ghostbusters film with mostly new content from start to finish.
