I thought is was pretty strong, didn't watch the musical episode though.
The highs & lows were not as extreme as some seasons of TNG for example, just solid throughout.

I felt like the finale was a little bit of a letdown.... everything went a little too perfect right up until the very end. Perhaps we'll get a little insight into the Gorn society next season. Right now they are mysterious, but could use a little fleshing out to make them truly evil.

Definitely love the update to the Gorn. Definitely fits the Strange part of the show

Yeah, I miss the good ole days where we would get 20 to 26 episodes a year for tv shows with a fall and spring season. Season ending cliffhangers would be resolved in 4 to 6 months, instead of 12 to 24.

For shows with good writing and well fleshed out characters, I would be fine with more basic CGI graphics versus the cinema quality graphics that require additional time, money, and effort.

I'm not embarrassed to admit I've listened to the Subspace Rhapsody soundtrack like 15 times now and I know the Klingon bit by heart.

It has some good characters and moments but mostly it turned into a cringeworthy embarrassment.

Finally got to watch the finale. That much of a cliffhanger ending is a bit annoying but it happened in TNG at least once I can remember (though much less time between seasons like y'all have said) but otherwise what a season. This show is awesome.

That was cringeworthy for sure. Like I said it has some good episodes, moments and characters, but the helpless fool/chef act by the captain, farcical enterprise thefts, pathetic Spock emotional crap, turning Kirk into a content, uninspiring third wheel loser who gets unceremoniously killed doing nothing…lots of embarrassingly bad.

Mixing lower decks - the point of that show is a comedy/farce/spoof of Star Trek. And it was very, very poorly done.

I really hope we get a few more seasons out of this one. It's the best Star Trek released.

After a 2-year break, season 3 premieres with its first 2 episodes tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how the season 2 cliffhanger with the Gorn in resolved.

Season 4 is filming currently and it has been announced that season 5 will be its last season.

Count me in for more Nurse Chapel.
