This would have been epic if Tracy Morgan was the dad

Part 1 - Four Character Death Picks (my notes as to why in parentheses)

• Jonathon (Upset with himself after Season 1 for not protecting Will. Needs redemption after becoming a burnout. Unrequited love is sad. He goes out this time around saving Will and or Nancy. I had a hard time picking between Will and Jonathan, but I don't think they are taking both Byers Brothers.)
• Eleven (I think the series wraps with all the special powers out of the universe, so that's going to require El to go. Only thing throwing me is the same thing keeping Hopper off this list...they've already "killed" her so the emotional component/surprise isn't there.)
• Murray (Murray is poised for a very dramatic save in a scene where we're all convinced Hopper is going to die. Murray is awesome and expendable comic relief, unfortunately.)
• Dr. Owens (Some redemption has occurred, but he's primed for something to happen. I don't see him surviving since he was actively investigating the upside down and this season will likely wrap that all up.)

Part 2 - Former Characters

• Brenner (Do flashbacks count? I think we get "Papa" one more time in some version.)
• Suzie (Dusty Buns ride or die shows up and proves integral.)
• #8 (Unfortunately, honestly. Hated #8's story arc. Still, her being out there is an untied ending.)

A few things I'm pondering that might happen

- Brenner is alive and will be integral to defeating Vecna. He has always been the good guy, and to win you have to be harsh.

- Will isn't in love with Mike - he just wants to share more about his Vecna history. It's super weird to be in love with your best friend, especially when you know he loves 11

- Nancy and Jonathan have a future together - Steve is a goner.

- Lucas is most likely of the 4 to die

- what is the connection between Mrs. Wheeler and The Creel's? This is a mystery and why is Holly involved?

- the Russians - surely we find out what they have been up to and why… Will the USA and Russia team up?

- Joyce and Hopper - they have to survive, right?

- I hope they bring back the bullies (2 guys and the girl) from Seasons 1 and 2 that were awesome and horrible to Steve

- Eight will be needed to defeat Vecna - hopefully her friends are not involved but I can see them being the 'Surfer Boy Pizza guy' this season that help in an integral way

- where is Paul Reiser? He comes back and dies, and I think the mean black military leader sees the truth and dies badly but as a hero

- Mystery - who opened the door in season 1 by opening the lock - it wasn't the demogorgan and wasn't Vecna - was it somehow 11 and if so why/how?

- I think the 3 headed dragon is the Big Bad that gets introduced - Will drew it on his picture

3 and 4 were lights out thrillers. Really enjoyed them both wire to wire. I've almost forgot what happened in 1 and 2 because we wound up not watching them all the same night.

Kids and I just watched the one with #8 the other day . A cool call back, although I bet she doesn't last long.

How about freaking Frank Darabont directing the third episode? That was nuts seeing that name on the opening credits.
