After watching 'the making of' season 3 episode, I understand why so many people on here were so disgusted after s2 and how it strayed from the source material. The showrunner and crew seem to think the source material was just for 'inspiration', and this show was an opportunity for them to tell the story they want to tell. It's insulting to the fans.

The fact that they want to make the whole thing about Ciri and a "is she a hero or villain?" storyline shows they're the literal definition of lost the plot. It's disappointing, because as someone who has never read the books or played the video games, it had a lot of promise as just a fantasy series, but they can't even get that right.

I watched all 3 seasons in the span of 5 days and found it to be excellent, not disjointed at all.

Never read the books.
Didn't notice bad CGI.
I was entertained and I was sad when it was over.

Only 2 pain points for me -
- Ciri's clear age difference from the end of season 1 to season 2. No time has supposedly passed and yet she goes from clearly a child to a young woman. Was distracting to me.
- Henry Cavill leaving is devastating!

I couldn't find a thread on season 4, probably for good reason, it's terrible. In fact, it is possible that the last episode I watched, episode 5 "The Joy of Cooking", may be the worst episode of any television series ever aired on television.

The writing is so bad it is possible that the writers are conspiring to end the director's career as some sort of payback for unspoken grievances.

The acting and delivery of the schlock being dredged up by the writers is actually worse than a middle school theater performance where every kid gets a part and even mom and dad can't be troubled to attend both "performances".

The cut scenes from the video game show more emotional depth and range than this sloppily presented drivel.

There is the ever present Netflix commitment to same sex normalization, diversity is our strength, and girl power, except this also commits to show how Netflix can air a TV show produced by talentless hacks taking bong rips all day long.

Surely this is an AI experiment to see just how desensitized the viewer is to consuming inane drivel and proving to Mortimer that people will watch anything put in front of them.

Joke is on me because I didn't bail until Geralt broke out in song in an ill conceived homage to Broadway musicals where I had to double check to make sure I hadn't accidentally ingested psychedelics. Nope. It was real. Geralt actually did perform a broadway number.

So long. Farewell. Auf wiederdsehn. Goodbye.

Witcher. It was good to know you.
