I actually figured out the twist in The Sixth Sense pretty early on, so when it was revealed, I chuckled.

The correct answer is 1968's Planet of the Apes.

Death Trap. It has been forever since I saw it, but I remember being totally surprised.

That is a good one.

We did that play when I was much younger and really enjoyed it. Hearing audience reactions from the stage when they saw the twist was really good.

^This one was really great.

The amazing thing about this one is it could play out exactly as we saw without the twist and still been a great movie. It was just a great political thriller. And it really did not even have to try to fool the viewer because of that. I think it has to be the most unexpected ending because there really is no way you can or should expect it.

By comparison I loved The Sixth Sense in the end and thought it was great - because of the twist ending. But I recall sitting in the theater halfway or more through and thinking "why is everyone raving about this movie, it's not that great."

No Way Out was a great movie made even better by the twist.

"Well I'll be damned."

"So will he, if you believe in the Old Testament."

I've used that line in the past.

The prestige gets my vote.

But I will say an extremely underrated one I think might be at the top of my list is The Game with Michael Douglas.

That ending blew me away the first time I saw it. Never even considered that as a possibility…

Love the Prestige.

Freshman year in the dorm I happened to talk into someone's room watching the Game about 3 minutes before the twist. Ruined the movie and I've never gone back and watched the rest of the film.

No Way Out as mentioned previously was tops.

Saw was incredible. I was not expecting that. However, I don't think I watched since the third one. I just don't care for all of the gore and carnage.

Shawshank Redemption is by far my favorite movie. I had no idea, as I anticipated suicide was the answer. When they were in the cell talking about him vanishing like a fart in the wind, I was confused. From the moment that Ms. Fuzzy Britches spilled her little secret, I was happy for Andy Dufresne.

The Sixth Sense-I had heard about a big reveal before seeing it, and figured it out at the dinner with his wife. Had I not known about a surprise ending, this one would move up some.

What about Pulp Fiction? Not a traditional twist, but I didn't expect the beginning and end to come together the way that it did.

I'm too young to have seen it in theaters, but my dad said the entire theater moaned, gasped, and had a few "aw man".

Go back and watch the whole movie. Even knowing the ending, it's still a great movie.

Shawshank is great I suppose - I mean it is a great movie anyway and twist.

Having read the book/shot story as an avid King fan it was not a surprise to me though. But well executed and I enjoyed others having the same realization.

Just following up on No Way Out.

Recently had the pleasure to watch it with my son (27) who had never seen it. He was definitely engrossed and loved it and then his jaw hit the floor. He did a double take and was like "WHAT?!?!?!"

Holds up.

The Graduate. Once they flee the church instead of happily ever after we're left with ambiguous glances and an uneasy silence the audience is free to interpret as they will. Pretty novel at the time.
