The question defines the two criteria;

You must have seen the band/artist in the past
0% chance you can see that band again. (in other words, a main member died or is 0% chance coming back)

For me, I think it's Type O Negative. RIP Peter Steele. No other band can come close to filling the void that their completely unique sound left in me.

A close second place would be Chris Cornell solo acoustic or STP if they did some sort of core 25th anny run.

Nearly every band I've seen for my 30 years of concert going are still alive and kicking, save for those few. So while they may not be active, they certainly might be one day.

oh damn I forgot about Pantera.

Saw them with the recent lineup.. it's good, but certainly would love to see the original 4 again. I saw them twice in the 90s.

I'd love to see Stevie Wonder again and while I guess it's still possible as he is currently living he hasn't toured in forever so I don't expect to get that opportunity.

Dang. Type O is a great choice. Saw them idk how many times as as opener/2nd on the bill in the 90s/early 00s and they had such a great show.

I wish I could see Audioslave again. The only time I ever got to see Cornell was when Audioslave played one of the Bocktoberfests back in the day.

Chase. I'm sure very few on here know who that is. but I was a big fan. Saw them at a small venue in Houston back in the mid-70's. It was their last, or next to last, gig they played before half the members of the band, including the leader Bill Chase, were killed in a plane crash a couple of weeks later.

Waylon Jennings (only saw him once. .At Chili Fest and I was extremely drunk. My favorite artist)

Jerry Jeff Walker (saw him a bunch in mostly my 20-30's. But still would have liked to have seen him one more time at a real rowdy honky-tonk venue. But all he ever played were more of the fancy type places around here in his later years).

Don Williams (saw him once. It was great).

A million years ago when I was still in school JJW was going to play at the Snook rodeo. We went only to see him obviously. He was really late to start. As he walked out you could tell he was drunk/high. Started to play something, forgot words, chords. Stopped in the middle of the song. Started another song - same thing. Crowd started getting restless. Some heckling, booing. Then JJW drops a couple F-bomb and stomps off. Fun times!

For me, it would be Iron Age and Power Trip. 2 amazing Texas bands who had a core member taken WAY too soon. Memories at those shows are some of the best times I have ever had at a concert. RIP Riley and Wade.

Led Zep. Even with Jason B in place of his dad. Paige and Jones would, but Plant's "artistic interests" prevents it.

I've seen Rush 17 times. Obviously they are a favorite and I would love to see them again.

But I only got to see Pink Floyd once. I think I would have to go with them considering the requirement is to see someone you have seen before.

I can't say "The Beatles" or "Hendrix" or "SRV" because I never saw them.

I think this would be an even better topic, "Who did you not see when you had the chance (past the age of say, 16)"? I still can't believe I never saw AC/DC, despite seeing everyone else under the sun. Well, also pissed I never saw Nirvana...what the hell!?!

I just heard an interview with Gavin Rossdale from Bush and he was doing a show and Mike Mills was in the front row and he said, "man I sure would love to see another REM concert." And Mike said, "You'll live."

I loved Chase but never got a chance to see them. One of the trumpet players in our HS band made a marching band fanfare out of "Get It On" that was pretty outstanding.
