Are A&M's core values..optional? Who has the POWER to determine that? Are certain departments exempt? Why?

Small venue Ramones would be awesome. Especially if I was 18 again.

Rush. I'd trade all the Van Halen shows I saw (original lineup or w/Sammy) for 1 more Rush show. And I'd give my left nut to see SRV.

I feel really lucky.

I saw Rush on the CA your in Houston and that was the last show before they got inducted into the RRHOF. In fact it was right before the announcement that they made it.

Then I saw them in Austin at the first CA when they came back after the induction. That was a hoot with everyone yelling "blah blah blah" at Alex.

Then I saw R40 in Houston on the final tour. Xanadu with double necks and I got the Red Barchetta set list. The first time I saw them they played Xanadu and the last time I saw them they played it. 30 plus years apart.

I would pay way more than I could afford to see them one more time.

This thread reminds me of the story my mom still likes to tell of the time she asked my dad to take her to see Elvis in concert in 1973. My Dad told her they could see him on his next tour but he didn't come back through Fresno before he died.

It was circa 1977 at Armadillo World Headquarters over in Austin. It was loud for sure.

is that a Houston cover band from 20-25 years ago? Sounds familiar.

Yes. They were the band with a vocalist who could sing Rush songs a little better than Geddy Lee. They were all over Houston and SE Texas in the 90s.
Well, if we're doing this, put me down for another Peeping Tom show at The Tap.

Me and a bunch of buddies at A&M were big Blind Melon fans. We were very close to going to Houston to see them at Numbers but, at the last minute, decided we didn't want to make the drive. That Numbers show ended up being the last show they ever did (at least with Shannon Hoon). He was found dead on their bus a couple days later in NOLA.

I always wanted to see, but did not get a chance:, Queen fronted by Freddie and Alice in Chains fronted by Layne

Edit to add: STP fronted by Scott However I did see them w/ Chester B. Maybe a year after that Chester was gone too.

Jerry Jeff Walker. I'll bet I saw him a couple dozen times, including on his jazz tour which probably everyone in the building but me hated, but I'd sure love to see him again.

Loved this band! I probably saw them half a dozen times in the BCS area and once more in Dallas around 2007 or 2008. First time I saw them was at Third Floor Cantina opening for Sevenfold (I think) sometime around 2004ish. I knew nothing about them before their set but ended up buying a shirt and a CD I was so impressed.
