To me it just felt like a super successful one-off. I wish Hollywood realized it is ok for there to be some of those. I don't know if a sequel to Joker was going to be good, even if they'd gone a different route.

A lot of people only stream movies at home and wait for digital release to watch at home.

It's an extra stream of revenue that's normally opened only once theater business has died way down so as not to cannibalize it.

ANd unlike the bunch of us who are talking movies 24 hours a day, tons of people have no idea it is tanking or that it sucks and will simply see it as an option and think "Oh, I must have missed it somehow" and then rent it.

The same way that people see the Borderlands ad on streaming and think "Oh yeah, I love Kevin Hart!" and rent it and then realize they've made a huge mistake

I would have preferred way more orchestra and audio attention if this was supposed to be a musical.

I have decided I will not be watching this. Which sucks because I really liked the first one. This has to go down as one if not the biggest failed sequel in history.
