Literally the first scene was an ER doc riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

Also, I doubt there's a suicide. But does anyone remember the big event of the ER pilot? Actually one of the reasons I doubt we see it - it'll just play like a Carol Hathaway retread.

Also love how the other docs were like dude that was badass, I enjoy when Abbott is genuinely impressed.

Abbot and Robbie's scene towards the end of the episode was so good. Noah Wyle deserves the Emmy. He was outstanding all season.

Amazing show. The scene where they were working to save the mom after the c-section and Robby kept looking over to see how the baby was doing - then his reaction when the baby cried. Incredible. Definitely give him the Emmy.

Abbot has become I think my favorite character on the show, he's a total wildcard yet so controlled and I love his subtle snark. The scenes where he just pulls off some wild procedure with zero technology are amazing.

As a dad of two under 5 their births are still pretty vivid memories, their deliveries were luckily fairly smooth but man all those feelings came flooding back during the scenes with the mom and her baby. It's also one of the few times we've recently seen Robby affected by a procedure, as mentioned he was fantastic in that scene.

Seeing Dr Al-Hashimi start to accept her circumstances at the end was really powerful too, she's another character who's so capable but dealing with limitations outside her control. Super interested to see where they take next season, I hope we see more of her as well.

I couldn't help but yell at that pregnant lady before she seized. "Stupid b****!" I loved Abbott's line about 30% infant mortality before modern medicine. Very intense scene when it all went sideways.

I rewatched that scene and will probably do so again. Noah Wylie was great but so was Shawn Hatosy. The scene falls flat if they both don't nail it.

Another great season. Hate that we have to wait.

My least favorite this season was Dr. McKay and I think the writing was maybe to blame. Her first season arc was built around suspicion so this season all her looks just came off as judgmental to me. Like patient would request a ham sandwich and she'd overhear and look at him with a look like "ham? interesting..." Maybe it was just me In general she just really got sidelined this season. Not much to do.

I didn't care for the addition of Luke Tennie. I like him on Shrinking but acting wise he tends to suffer from dead eyes. No matter what he was doing in this show his eyes were just blank and emotionless.

I've never seen him before, but my take is similar. He didn't give the impression that he's really a doctor. Just a guy reading lines. Seems miscast.

Yeah, he got a little bit better over the three seasons of Shrinking, but he really is very limited as an actor.
